Awesome! Thank you so much!!!!!
normdMemberOk. Many thanks. Where should I set the image size got 870px so thumbnails automatically fill that space. I hope I don't have to size every pic. I like the way the slider code takes any pic and fits it.
normdMemberTom: Thanks for the reply!
When you look at my slider on http://dobsonhomes.net/dobhwp/, you can see that the house image fills the slider window of 1140 x 445. When I have the excerpt at 21%, my current setting, it overlays on the left 270px of the 1140px image. I have the opacity set at 60% so the visitor can see the entire image. What I prefer is to have the excerpt at 100% opacity - entirely black - and not hiding the left portion of the image. So, if I could keep the slider window at 1140px wide and the image at 1140-270px = 870px, that would be ideal. That way I can display the text clearly in the excerpt and show the full image without it being cropped on the left. Thus, I would like the image width = slider width minus the excerpt width.

normdMemberThat worked perfectly! Many thanks!!
normdMemberMany thanks! Your first suggestion was the best, once I understood to modify the css of the plugin and not the theme. Again, thanks!!!
normdMemberSorry, but that did not work. I tried:
.flexslider {
background: black;
position: relative;
zoom: 1;
}normdMemberIs there a way to have two blog pages? One for one category and another for a second category?
normdMemberThanks. I really wanted to stop the display at a certain point and not have the link show in the sidebar. I guess that is a bug in the Genesis Featured Post widget.
normdMemberThanks for the reply! I tried the more tag, but the Genesis Featured Post widget does not respect that tag. It displays the full page content of the post on the sidebar of http://www.davidrosenconsultants.com/. The first post text is below:
