December 3, 2013 at 8:40 pm in reply to: Minimum Pro – creating circles with CSS looks funky on the iPad #76888pamrburkeMemberAfter taking another look, this issue only happens when the iPhone or iPad is in landscape.
For clarification on the issue, I have created three circles using css. The circles are set us as float left, making them sit adjacent to one another. In landscape, on the iPhone and the iPad, the third circle moves below the other two circles and the text that was below the circles moves to the location where the three circle was located.
Any ideas on the media query that can be used to fix this in landscape?
Thanks
Pam
pamrburkeMemberI figured out what to do.
I decreased the bottom margin for the border and slightly decreased the bottom margin for the <div class=”entry-content” itemprop=”text”> elements.
November 19, 2013 at 2:02 pm in reply to: Minimum Pro theme – how to get posts to show 200 characters on the Blog Template #74237pamrburkeMemberI have no idea why the Content Archives with display post content and limiting the number of characters was not working, but for some reason after I decreased the number of blog posts from 5 to 1, it worked as expected. It even continued to work as I moved up from 1 to 5. At least it worked on this computer. I will check another computer later.
November 19, 2013 at 6:09 am in reply to: Minimum Pro theme – how to get posts to show 200 characters on the Blog Template #74163pamrburkeMemberI found something that gets me most of the way to what I want. The issue is that the only way to get to the post is to click on the post title. There is option for "Read More" or "Continue Reading".
/* Modify the length of post excerpts */ add_filter( 'excerpt_length', 'sp_excerpt_length' ); function sp_excerpt_length( $length ) { return 50; // pull first 100 words }
Thanks

November 19, 2013 at 4:17 am in reply to: Minimum Pro theme – how to get posts to show 200 characters on the Blog Template #74153pamrburkeMemberThanks for the reply Andrea, but my question was in regards to the blog page. Currently the one post that I have is showing the full content on the blog page. I want it working more like how Carrie has it working on her blog page (mentioned in my previous post). It would be nice to know how to do that with or without an image.
Thanks
Pam
pamrburkeMemberAndrea,
That work.
Thank You.

pamrburkeMemberAndrea,
I thought this was resolved, but then realized an issue.
The code is putting the word on its own line, a break after the text before it and a break after the code after it.Thanks

pamrburkeMemberHi Andrea,
Thank You for your help. I got it to work. I am new to all of this, therefore I did not know what shortcodes was.
After a Google search to learn more about shortcode, I went back to where I had canwilldone, and replaced it with [canwilldone].
pamrburkeMemberThank You Andrea for responding.
I added the code to the function area of the Gensis Extender, but there was no change to the text.
I will also note that I have another function in there for something else, but I gather that should not make a difference.
Thanks
Pam
November 16, 2013 at 9:36 pm in reply to: Identifying default colors for Minium Pro theme and removing hyperlink line #73508pamrburkeMemberI figured item #2.
#title a { text-transform:none; border-bottom: 0px; } #title a:hover { color: #333; border-bottom: 0px;
November 16, 2013 at 3:08 pm in reply to: Identifying default colors for Minium Pro theme and removing hyperlink line #73455pamrburkeMemberI figured out #1.
I found the minimum pro styles.css file, then found the color under the Title Area. After that I added the following via the Genesis Extender.
#title a:hover {
color: #333;
}I still need to resolve #2, which is getting rid of the dashed line underneath the site title.
Thanks
Pam
