PhaseCreativeMemberYou had me at beer!
Looks great, but I would suggest changing the Red to another colour more inline with your colour palette

PhaseCreativeMemberI'm searching for the solution to this too. I'm fine mucking about with div tags and stuff, but it isn't going to fly with my clients. Does anyone else have a work around for this?

PhaseCreativeMemberI know the thread is closed, just wanted to express my gratitude to you sharing this fix. Sometimes it's the little things!
Thank you.

PhaseCreativeMemberNice customisation, love your colours & content. You should be pretty happy! The header is lovely too.
I can't help with your css issue, sorry. But a few things I thought:
My designer eye is thinking the drop shadow on the sidebar items doesn't really match the rest of the site - I think you'd have more consistency without out (the classic case of less is more).
Also, the background image is significantly delayed in loading, is there anyway to optimise it further?
Cheers,
Cath

PhaseCreativeMemberThanks kind folk, I've changed the subnav width to 85% and will come back to it fresh again next week.

PhaseCreativeMemberThanks bandj, I've looked into that one, but I wasn't a fan of the jigsaw approach. I guess though, if all my images were the same size, this wouldn't be a issue... might work actually!

PhaseCreativeMemberThanks asdweb, I was being a bit of a purist about this and really wanted it to be centred, but yeah, I think you're right, a small hack is in order 🙂

PhaseCreativeMemberThanks again, I didn't realise it was a tute. I have a lot of learning to do, but eventually I should be able to make it work with that info. Cheers. Still curious to know if there is a plugin (this lazy designer just wants it to work!)

PhaseCreativeMemberThanks Brad, I'll check it out. It's actually the filtering capabilities I'm most interested in (styling is not a problem). I also would love to customise the page the posts are generated on - so have some navigation on each portfolio post, plus the 'recent projects' posts also shown underneath. A tricky weave for this php novice!
(a plugin or jquery injection is what I think is needed here, but one that has the portfolio post type in mind.
