November 15, 2014 at 2:08 pm in reply to: How to add an URL to a backgroundimage in the site footer #131640SabineMember
Thanks for the tutorial. It's working now.
Here is what I did:
functions.php file:
remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_do_footer' ); add_action( 'genesis_footer', 'sp_custom_footer' ); function sp_custom_footer() { ?> <div class="logohf"><a href="http://mydomain" title="mydomain"</a> </div> <p>© Copyright 2014 <a href="http://mydomain.com" title="mydomain">text</a></p> <?php }
style.css file: I removed the previous code and replaced it with this one:
.logohf { position: relative; background-image: url("images/logo_HF.png"); margin: 0px; padding: 0px; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: 217px 36px; float:left; height: 36px; width: 217px; } .logohf a { display: block; float: left; height: 36px; width: 217px; outline: none; }
May 30, 2014 at 8:21 am in reply to: Premise Plugin Translation and Edition of Default Text. #107472SabineMemberI have the exact same problem and try to figure out a solution that works. The support could not help me too. I translated the file to german, but the premise-de_DE.po and .mo file only takes part of the translation. The other Idee was to change it in the short-code.php file.
Uploading the premise-de_DE.po and mo file to the wp-content/languages solved part of the problem. The button text is still in english. Part of the Headlines of the shortcodes on the checkout and payment page are still in english.
Any idea how to solve this too?
SabineMemberThanks for your help. This worked for the post and the page.
January 1, 2014 at 8:29 am in reply to: How can I add a bottom section, that stays fixed, just like I see on SP Demos. #82477SabineMemberIs the provided code for HTML5 as well? I'm a little bit confused about the # in the style.css;-)
December 28, 2013 at 2:06 am in reply to: How can I enable the post navigation and set it up with numbers? #81529SabineMemberThanks Brad!
SabineMemberThanks Andrea!
I tried your approach and the header-image appears, but in WordPress it cuts off the last 5 letters. Even if it is written that the image will be taken 273 x 37 px and the image in Adobe is exactly 273 x 37 px, it cuts off.
What you see on the live-site:
I put the image in the
#title-area
and did not upload the Header image under Apperance > Header. I made no changes in the functions.php file#title-area { background-image: url('images/Header_273_37.png'); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: 80%; display: block; float: left; height: 28px; padding: 0.75rem 0; margin-bottom: 0rem; margin-top: 1rem; margin-left: 0rem; overflow: hidden; text-indent: 64px; width: 280px; vertical-align: baseline; } .header-image #header, .header-image #title-area { padding: 0; }
Thanks for your help
SabineMemberIt's a test-site with no public access. So I cannot put the URL here.
Maybe I put the logo.png in the wrong folder? I named my Image to logo.png and filed it under modern-Portfolio/Images. So I did not change any code in the filter, but maybe I have to change something? The modern-portfolio child theme has an own homepage.php too, maybe that's the reason?
Thanks for your help.
SabineMemberThanks for your description. Unfortunatly it does not work. The logo does not show up, only the text.
December 4, 2013 at 1:51 am in reply to: How to change the blockquote styling in modern-portfolio #76917SabineMemberThanks for your help!
That's my final one, which is working;-)
blockquote { padding-left: 24px; padding-left: 1.5rem; padding-right: 24px; padding-right: 1.5rem; margin-left: 24px; margin-left: 1.5rem; margin-right: 24px; margin-right: 1.5rem; border-left: 1px solid #888888; text-align: left; }
SabineMemberThat's a different site. I took it just to see the screenshot. What you see is the result of the Genesis 2.0 and the Child Theme Modern Portfolio.
SabineMemberHello Brad,
I changed to HTML5 - now everything looks different. So I have to restart again;-(
Thanks for your time.
SabineMemberHello Brad,
you can see the screenshot here: http://www.humanfocus.at/brad/
It’s a pdf – hope it works;-)SabineMemberThis reply has been marked as private.SabineMemberIt's local. But I can try to sent you a screenshot, if this would help?
Maybe it's the modern-Portfolio Theme, as there is a "Portfolio" in the widget already.
/** Register widget areas */
genesis_register_sidebar( array(
'id' => 'portfolio',
'name' => __( 'Portfolio', 'mp' ),
'description' => __( 'This is the portfolio section.', 'mp' ),
) );Another reason could be the code itself, as I did not change to HTML5 before.
What do you think?
SabineMemberBrad, thanks for your answer.
I read your posts on http://wpsites.net/web-design/add-portfolio-page-to-studiopress-education-theme/
http://wpsites.net/web-design/add-responsive-portfolio-page-to-lifestyle-pro/ and the one how to set up a Portfolio page
from http://www.briangardner.com/portfolio-page/.Unfortunatly it is not working, as it should.
On the portfolio-page two Pictures Shows up:
<div class="portfolio-featured-image"> and
<div class="entry-content">.Any idea how to get remove the <div class="entry-content">?
Thanks a lot in advance for your assistance!
