Sridhar KatakamParticipantDecember 28, 2018 at 1:01 am in reply to: Authority Pro – full width slider in front page widget area #225276Sridhar KatakamParticipant
The reason for this is because .site-inner has a max-width of 1200px and .front-page-1 is inside it.
To have a full-width slider appear below the header, you would need to use the genesis_after_header hook and add the PHP code for displaying the slider.
Can you provide the PHP code for showing your slider? You should be able to find this when you edit the slider.
Sridhar KatakamParticipantAdd the following in Magazine Pro's <span class="file-name">style.css</span>:
@media only screen and (min-width: 1024px) { .site-header .wrap { position: relative; } .title-area { width: 100%; } .site-header .widget-area { position: absolute; right: 0; } }

That is exactly what that code snippet is supposed to do.
The relevant code in genesis/lib/structure/comments.php:
add_filter( 'get_comments_link', 'genesis_comments_link_filter', 10, 2 ); /** * Filter the comments link. If post has comments, link to #comments div. If no, link to #respond div. * * @since 2.0.1 * * @param string $link Post comments permalink with '#comments' appended. * @param int|WP_Post $post_id Post ID or WP_Post object. * @return string URL to comments if they exist, otherwise URL to the comment form. */ function genesis_comments_link_filter( $link, $post_id ) { if ( 0 == get_comments_number() ) { return get_permalink( $post_id ) . '#respond'; } return $link; }
I tested it in Authority Pro 1.1.0 and it works.
Did you make any code change in your child theme to make the comment link show up?
I had to comment out
add_filter( 'genesis_post_info', 'authority_modify_post_info' );
for that.
December 27, 2018 at 7:52 pm in reply to: Functionality Issues With The Thrive Themes Plugin "Thrive Comments" #225267Sridhar KatakamParticipantAdd this in child theme's functions.php:
remove_filter( 'get_comments_link', 'genesis_comments_link_filter', 10, 2 );
December 27, 2018 at 5:57 pm in reply to: How do you show featured image on POST page? Eleven40 #225263Sridhar KatakamParticipantDo you want the image to appear above the title or above the content on single posts?
December 27, 2018 at 5:06 pm in reply to: Authority Pro – full width slider in front page widget area #225261Sridhar KatakamParticipantIn my Authority Pro test site, I dragged a test widget into Front Page 1 widget area and can see the widget on the homepage.
I then visited a landing page (a static Page that uses Landing Template) and do NOT see the front page widget.
In other words, it works as expected.
Can you provide the URL of a landing page in your site where the problem can be seen?
December 27, 2018 at 6:36 am in reply to: Authority Pro Theme – Make Images On Front Page Clickable #225254Sridhar KatakamParticipantThe easier route for this would be to edit templates/hero-section.php and comment out or delete the code for showing the unlinked logos and add code for showing linked logos.
May 31, 2018 at 4:11 am in reply to: Looking for advice in integrate a reliable css framework to improve Genesis #220415Sridhar KatakamParticipantIt should be possible to load and use any of the frameworks you mentioned.
Do you have a favorite/preference?

.front-page-3 .widget h3 + p { padding: 0 40px; }
Sridhar KatakamParticipantSridhar KatakamParticipantAdd
@media only screen and (max-width: 768px) { .nav-primary { z-index: 100001; position: relative; } }
May 17, 2018 at 9:41 pm in reply to: Button centered on desktop and mobile but not on tablet #220024Sridhar KatakamParticipantAdd
.front-page-6 .flexible-widgets.widget-halves.uneven .widget:last-of-type { width: 100%; }
at the end of
css/style-front.css
.
May 17, 2018 at 9:17 pm in reply to: Parallax Pro — Some menu links on one-pager making headers disappear #220023Sridhar KatakamParticipantTry adding this CSS:
.home-section-2 .widget-title { color: #fff; } #news:focus, #listen:focus { outline: none; }
Sridhar KatakamParticipantYou might also want to look at media queries and adjust the width values.
An alternative approach is to replace the floats with Flexbox. Here's fully modified Magazine Pro's style.css with the same widths for content and sidebar as the stock Magazine Pro, but with floats replaced by Flexbox. It should be easy to change the % width values for
.content
and.sidebar
to your liking.https://pastebin.com/raw/ABgdgSHN
Note: Modified for and tested only in content-sidebar layout.
