I think I may have it figured out.
This is what I usedadd_action('wp_head', 'add_content_to_head');
function add_content_to_head() {
echo of_get_option('director_info', '');
}It seems to work.
susanshropMemberCan you add php code in the functions.php file?
Example:
add_action('wp_head', 'add_content_to_head');
function add_content_to_head() {
echo 'content';
}
Would echo whatever I put between the ' 'I tried to do:
add_action('wp_head', 'add_content_to_head');
function add_content_to_head() {
echo '<?php if ( of_get_option('director_photo') ) { ?>" />
<?php } ?>';
}
which would echo the input from my custom settings page. When they uploaded their director photo it would put it in this place on the website. I of course am getting an error so I know I can't do it THIS way but is there a way to add php code in this manner?susanshropMemberSo are you saying that I can add the options page that I normally do but put the functions in the child theme's functions file?
What about being able put the code that is outputed into the theme in say the index.php file? Is there a way to access the index.php file JUST for the child theme?
susanshropMemberOk great! I am doing a multisite for a group that have a lot of the same information but would like to change "looks" from time to time. I am looking for an easy way to set it up where they could just look at the themes an activate a new one without having to really do anything.
So you think if I create the themes with the same widget areas/sidebars etc. then when they change themes everything would stay in place?
