Thanks, also for that link 🙂
webkompaanParticipantHi Brad. Sorry I missed your reply, i did not get a notification by email or in my spam box.
I wanted to only display the authorlink. I now solved it by using Genesis Extender and custom hooks.
I find this theme to be very frustrating and limited I must say. I'm almost ready to present it to my client, but wished I chose another theme or theme framework.
webkompaanParticipantHi Anita, I'm having the same problem and don't know what to look for. I added the color palette before to sites that don't run a Genesis theme, but this time I'm using the Breakthrough theme and just can't add the new colors. They are stuck on the colors on the Customize page.
I added this to the functions.php of the breakthrough theme:
add_theme_support( 'editor-color-palette', array(
array(
'name' => __( 'Zwart', 'breakthrough-pro' ),
'slug' => 'zwart',
'color' => '#333',
),
array(
'name' => __( 'Wit', 'breakthrough-pro' ),
'slug' => 'wit',
'color' => '#fff',
),
array(
'name' => __( 'Rood', 'breakthrough-pro' ),
'slug' => 'rood',
'color' => '#ff0000',
),
array(
'name' => __( 'Donkerblauw', 'breakthrough-pro' ),
'slug' => 'donkerblauw',
'color' => '#07153A',
),
array(
'name' => __( 'Lichtblauw', 'breakthrough-pro' ),
'slug' => 'lichtblauw',
'color' => '#00A5ff',
)
) );webkompaanParticipantThat worked Anita! Thanks for that suggestion :).
I just had to translate some strings again.webkompaanParticipantThat was a good move :). When I do that, the problem still remains, but only in that widget. I did not remove it, but moved it to another location, underneath the other 3 featured post widgets. So perhaps I van start with recreating the widget.
webkompaanParticipantI just deactivated all plugins (including extender) except WPML, and the problem still exists.
webkompaanParticipantNo change after deactivating. Just that the styling changes.
webkompaanParticipantHi Anita, Eric from Cobalt Apps replied about his Extender plugin:
Did the moderator mention why she thought the problem was caused by Genesis Extender? I don't see anything in your explanation that would implicate Extender, unless you've added some custom code through Extender that's affecting these Widget Areas.
I checked, but I do not have such a custom code that could affect this widget.
webkompaanParticipantThanks Anita, I will contact Eric from Cobalt Apps about this and report back here if indeed that plugin is causing this.
webkompaanParticipantThis is that first widget:
This is the one beneath that, on the left. Exactly the same, but with no error:
webkompaanParticipantJust found it. On a page which explains how to ADD the fade in to a Genesis theme, so then I knew how to REMOVE it. It's a CSS thing called animation and I did not know that one yet.
You know, I think Apple is to 'blame' for all that fancy fading and sliding because they introduced it years ago in their first OSX version. Some like it, some don't ;).
Thanks for helping with this!
webkompaanParticipantYes, I found those transitions and disabled them, but that doesn't disable the loading effect of the pages. When I click to another page, that page is appearing 'softly', like coming from 0 transparancy to fully visible. This happens rather quick ofcourse, but nevertheless, I don't like those kind of effects ;).
English is not my native language, but what I meant with smoothing is the effect often used in websites today where it seams that everything has to fade in or out or slide in or out.
April 15, 2019 at 12:07 pm in reply to: How to change the default content width in Genesis Sample theme #490671webkompaanParticipantHi Victor. I'm using this plugin for five years now and never noticed it to change anything in themes, except for what I add to it, like functions.hooks.conditionals etc. At this moment everything is working fine, but the content area is a little too wide to my taste and it should be possible to make it a little bit narrower.
I'll figure it out, just thought that someone already tried to change the width of the content area in any of the Genesis themes, because I assume they all function the same way when it comes to widths etc. :).
webkompaanParticipantAh okay, thanks. I thought it did because this is how it works in the theme Genesis Sample, as seen here on the Shop for Themes page.

September 19, 2018 at 4:23 am in reply to: How to remove the (slow) transition of main menu in Metro Pro? #223284webkompaanParticipantI have been looking at the css, but I think it is a script that does the slower response of the main menu. Does someone know how to disable it?
webkompaanParticipantBy the way, where do you see the code printed? I can only see this:
<div class="entry-avatar"></div>
webkompaanParticipantYes I think so, I followed all steps. the most important ones being that the email addresses should correspond, and they do, like all other authors.
webkompaanParticipantAh, thanks! That was very well hidden in the theme :).
September 21, 2016 at 7:36 am in reply to: Links don't open in new window/tab in Digital Pro #193462webkompaanParticipantJust found the cause. The WP Accessibilty plugin removed all target links.
