wpsmithMemberIf you are trying to accomplish a course-like feel (like Moodle) then you may want to go with what Chris Lema just wrote about in his recent elearning post. The other approach would be Learn Dash. WooThemes will be releasing Sensei this month, so I would actually recommend waiting for that.
wpsmithMemberwpsmithMemberChange this
add_filter( ‘genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout’, ‘minimum_home_layout’ );
to this:
add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );
add_filter( 'genesis_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );If that works, then delete this:
/**
* Filter layout
*/
function minimum_home_layout( $opt ) {
return ‘full-width-content’;
}
wpsmithMemberThat is the correct method and there is nothing wrong with that. It would be great if you could pastebin the HTML header section of your site with 1.9.1 and 1.8.2.
wpsmithMemberNot really. However, magazine takes the simple route of moving the primary navigation to the top. So without doing to much work to your site, the approach will be different for you.
The approach depends on what menus you are currently using (e.g., using both primary and secondary or just primary with secondary not registered, etc). You would need to first, register the menu and second, output the menu.
Check out this explanation.
wpsmithMemberwpsmithMemberWhile this won't fix the CSS look, you can do this. Add to #nav
#nav {
background: url(images/nav.png) repeat-x;
clear: both;
border-right: black;
height: auto;
overflow: hidden;
}
wpsmithMemberThese two tutorials should help you a lot: Effective Use of the Genesis Blog Template & Effective Use of the Blog Template Part 2.
wpsmithMemberIn the admin, under Appearance > Menus, do you have a menu selected for that menu location?
wpsmithMemberBrandon, thanks!
Gabe, in the source did it read “style.css?ver1.9.1″ or “style.css?ver=1.9.1″? Also, Gabe could you please start a new thread.
wpsmithMemberI just pasted what you would use instead. In Genesis 1.8, the Grid Loop has some issues which were fixed in Genesis 1.9. However, in fixing it, people doing the Grid Loop the wrong way, as done in the code you entered, doesn't work any more.
Please take a moment or 30 to read Bill's post. Since I do not know what sort of setups you have running for the Grid Loop I cannot comment on it.
See also, my post here.
wpsmithMemberI cannot see your site any more since you have it redirecting to the admin, or are requiring people to log in. Move the code to the bottom of that section and replace .menu.menu-primary with #nav I believe.

You will need to read the WordPress 3.5 Troubleshooting Master List. I recommend posting this to WordPress.org forums as this is not a Genesis issue.
wpsmithMemberIt will solve her issue. I don't think there to be a plugin conflict Bill. Her site is not displaying the genesis_site_title or genesis_site_description, thus, the link from the site title is lost.
wpsmithMemberSince you probably used the custom header, you will need to try this:
I haven't tested this code, so please let me know if there are any issues.

Screenr allows you to record your screen as you attempt to do what you're describing so people like me can understand and better assist you. Please go to screenr.com and record a session providing the link here.
wpsmithMemberwpsmithMemberYou want to style for the class
.menu.menu-primary .current_page_item
.
