May 28, 2019 at 11:02 am in reply to: Showcase Pro: How to reduce line spacing on a landing page #491377XWreconParticipant
Ok so after a little research it looks like I need to adjust the padding (educated guess) so that each of the sections on the page are closer together for just the landing page. Ex. padding: 1rem;
But am not sure how to target in CSS this change for only the Landing page which is what this page is made from.
Any ideas?
May 24, 2019 at 7:37 am in reply to: Showcase Pro: How to reduce line spacing on a landing page #491331XWreconParticipantVictor,
Thanks for the reply! Not doing anything with Gutenberg yet but hopefully by the end of the year to try it.
Didn't know the front end and editor have different style sheets that explains some of this.
The landing page template is the only one causing problems for spacing. Is there a way to reduce the height only on the Landing page?
Not a code nerd but is this the area that controls ONLY the Landing page template?
/* Site Containers * ========================================================================== */ .showcase-landing { background: #fff; } .full-width-content .content, body.woocommerce-account .woocommerce-MyAccount-content, body.woocommerce-account .entry-content .woocommerce { margin: 0 auto; max-width: 80rem; float: none; } .wrap { margin: 0 auto; padding: 0 5%; } .site-inner { clear: both; padding: 4rem 0; overflow: hidden; background: #fff; } .front-page .site-inner { padding: 0; } .full.full-width-content .content, .woocommerce-page.full-width-content .content { max-width: 100%; width: 100%; } .title-center .entry-header .entry-title { text-align: center; } @media only screen and (min-width: 800px) { body:not(.with-page-header) .site-inner { padding-top: 18rem; } } @media only screen and (min-width: 1100px) { .content { float: right; width: 70%; } .content-sidebar .content { float: left; } .sidebar-primary { float: right; width: 25%; } .sidebar-content .sidebar-primary { float: left; } .wrap { max-width: 120rem; } .site-inner { padding: 8rem 0; } } @media only screen and (min-width: 1500px) { .wrap { max-width: 160rem; } }
From Googling around I found this, Will some variation of this change the landing page height? Any thoughts are appreciated on this.
.entry-content p { line-height: 1.2; }
XWreconParticipantThanks @bestro for the suggestion. I wish the themes section has a filter for one page themes, would make it easier to choose.
XWreconParticipantThanks braddalton for chiming in but the one page Genesis theme I am hoping to get a recommendation on doesn't have to align at all with the old site.
Any thoughts on which theme to look at would be appreciated!

XWreconParticipantThanks everyone for your assistance!
Since I am using the static page settings looks like I need some custom code to make the /blog page exclude a category. Will do some searching on the forum, maybe someone will chime in here with a code snippet.
XWreconParticipantGenesis Ver 2.6.1
Showcase Pro ver 2.0.2I tried using you recommendations from your post to include one one category on the "/blog" page:
I created a custom field "query_args" with the value "cat=10" on the /blog page but when I updated the page the other category was still showing on the page.
FYI: I did not use quotes as instructed and I viewed the updated page in Incognito window in Chrome.
I know the post is from 2014 so wondering if there is a different solution to use with the most current version of Genesis.
If I need to make a separate thread for this let me know.
April 25, 2018 at 6:54 am in reply to: Showcase Pro: Problem making WP Featherlight launch a video #219268XWreconParticipantSo I tried some combinations of changing the URL (ex. removing the https) but no luck. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Also if you know of a different lightbox plugin that will launch Youtube videos and you have used it before let me know.
Thanks!

Just one follow up question, I plan on putting a small logo (image.png) just below the button and wass to move it right as well. I so was wondering if I could do something similar to what you are showing here for the image? Or would this be some sort of html code to move the image to the right?
March 24, 2018 at 7:29 am in reply to: Showcase Pro – How to move button in front-page-1 slightly to the right #218296XWreconParticipantI am still developing this site but here is another example of the Showcase theme I did to give you a specific example:
http://www.purchaseorderfinancing.com
I would like to move the "Let's Talk" button over to the right (for example right under the "any size" copy in the line above.
Hope that helps clarify my needs.
March 24, 2018 at 7:19 am in reply to: Showcase Pro – How to move button in front-page-1 slightly to the right #218295XWreconParticipantThanks for the reply!
I took a look but am pretty new to coding. If I wanted to move the button (which is currently centered) for example one inch to the right of center would I be doing something like position relative left: xxpx in CSS and then figure out how to put it in the html somewhere?
Is there just a html only option to move this button to the right?Thanks!
XWreconParticipantBeen trying to figure this out but still no go. Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks!

July 31, 2017 at 8:39 pm in reply to: How to change background color of homepage widget section #209791XWreconParticipantFollow up question, I now have the flexibility to change the background for "Front Page 4" which worked perfectly. The background is grey (see here https://www.chicagostaycation.com/ )but I realized that the white text doesn't show up well.
Is there a way some code to add to the CSS code you gave me to make the text black?
July 31, 2017 at 8:38 am in reply to: How to change background color of homepage widget section #209758XWreconParticipantWorked!! Thanks so much!
I added it to additional CSS so I didn't have to fool around directly with the style sheet.
Is there a quick way to determine the background colors of sections? Or do you just have to wade through the code to identify it?
July 27, 2017 at 7:48 pm in reply to: How to downgrade a child theme and not lose all the settings? #209653XWreconParticipantUPDATE: Went through the steps I outlined previously and when I downgraded to ver 2.0.0 all the changes were still there.
Thanks for all the help!
July 23, 2017 at 7:24 am in reply to: How to downgrade a child theme and not lose all the settings? #209478XWreconParticipantSusan,
Thanks for your input!
If I understand you correctly I should:
1. Activate another theme (ex. Twenty Seventeen or should it be another Genesis child theme?)
2. Delete Showcase Pro 2.0.2 theme
3. Upload Showcase Pro 2.0.0 theme
4. Activate Showcase Pro 2.0.0 themeThen review and see what I have to add back, hopefully not alot. 🙂
July 21, 2017 at 8:38 pm in reply to: How to downgrade a child theme and not lose all the settings? #209418XWreconParticipantI was using the previous theme version to test it out on a demo site. I then decided to use it for a live site but did not know this feature was removed when I downloaded the new version and starting setting it up. The developer said I would have to use the earlier version to get this feature back so that is what I need to do. So I was wondering if everything I set up in terms of widgets and uploading images and inserting them into pages would be lost?
