Tagged: Show page title
I'm using the blog template which shows posts one after the other. However I would like the H1 blog page title to show above the posts. Can someone share some genesis code with me?
Why can't you add it to the page title?
Hey Brad, thanks for responding.
I'm using the genesis blog template. This, by default, does not show the title of the page I am adding this blog template too. So I need to figure out some code to show the page title or another type of workaround. Does this make sense?
You must be referring to a home.php or something else.
Hey @gabk77, I just did this for a client. If you add a file called page_blog.php in your child theme folder and then add this code:
<?php /** * * Template Name: Blog * This file modifies the blog template. * * @author Au Coeur Design * @link http://www.aucoeurdesign.com * @package Genesis */ add_action('genesis_loop', 'genesis_standard_loop', 8); genesis();
The title and any content you have on that page will appear before the loop.
That's right Amber

Or you can choose from other options http://wpsites.net/web-design/add-content-before-posts-blog-page-only/
