I am using the Freelance child theme and I am having trouble putting pictures onto my widgets. I have tried simply copying and pasting it into text widgets, and copying the image URL from my media library and pasting into a text widget. Neither have worked. Can someone help me out with this problem please?

    Thank you!

Insert the images into a new post draft and copy and paste the HTML into a text widget.

    Example:

    <a href="http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/color_settings.png"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-69" alt="image alt text" src="http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/color_settings.png&quot; width="128" height="128" /></a>

Another option is to use a plugin which is specifically developed as an image widget http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/image-widget/
