    Hey everyone,

I have built a couple templates now on the Genesis framework now, but this is the best site we have produced yet. My gf and I work very had to put the portfolio together, setup the maps and get the most from the framework. Our template uses custom post types, Envira galleries, Revolution Slider and Google Maps Javascript.

I have to say that I have found the Genesis framework to be perfect for my workflow. I love being able to design any layout I want and having a great community of people to pull from.

Being a big fan of modern and contemporary architecture ( and Florida sunshine) I quite like this site right off the top.

The design is minimal and suits the content. The galleries showcase a great collection of images (been wanting to see some Envira galleries in action). The maps are well done — nice to see this done without using a plug-in, it gives the flexibility to do several different presentations. The hosting from Media Temple keeps things moving even with the many images and maps.

On the downside, the map markers are kind of mismatched against the content (maybe something more sleek would suit) and there’s no legend to explain the marker colors. Many clicks seems to open a new window/tab, which my not be the best user experience.

    Great use of Genesis :)

I love this. I am also a big fan of architecture and I like how your site’s visual design doesn’t interfere with your project galleries. They remain the star. I’m in awe of your homepage, in fact I’d like to know how you did it!

In addition to designing websites, I’m also a marketing-communication specialist. If there’s a suggestion I can offer, it’s that your ‘about’ page should focus on your work first and then you last. Let me explain. I’d move your first and the beginning of your second paragraph to the end in complement/support to a strong opening pitch about your work, e.g., have you won awards for your work? What makes it distinctive?

What I do like however, is the friendly tone of that page. I wouldn’t change that!

Congratulations on a very impressive site. I’m bookmarking this one.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, we mentioned about the markers, and some of the way the content was laid out, but this is what our client wanted. It was great to be able to build it on the Genesis framework and have the flexibility and control we desired. Now we just need some more clients!

    Agree on both counts! :)
