    I’m trying to get bbPress to work better on my site, and I’m almost there. I’d love to get the forum Search box to look like it does here on the StudioPress forum – slim and tucked into the upper right corner (Firebug shows this as in the “sub-navigation widget-area” (not sure how to get that widget area either).

    Anyway, right now my search box is huge and takes up a lot of space, as you can see here: http://livingwithacatheter.com/community-forums/

    Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to make that search box much less prominent so it doesn’t take up so much space?

    Thanks!

    Ken

    Add the following at the end of child theme’s style.css (WP dashboard -> Appearance -> Editor):

    .bbp-search-form input[type="text"] {
        padding: 0.5rem;
        width: auto;
    }

    .bbp-search-form input[type="submit"] {
        padding: 0.5rem 1rem;
        font-size: 1.2rem;
    }
