    I’m setting up my blog page in Metro Pro and even though the Content/Sidebar layout is selected, my page is the full width. My About Page is set up correctly and I’d like my Blog Page to be the same.

    What am I missing?

    Try adding this to functions.php:

    //* Force sidebar on blog posts and archives
    add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', 'nabm_force_layout' );
    function nabm_force_layout( $opt ) {
        if ( is_single() || is_archive() ) {
            $opt = 'content-sidebar';
            return $opt;
        }
    }

    That’s what I use on my own site to force the content sidebar layout on the blog page, archives, and single posts.

    Thanks for the response Andrea.

    I added the code, and must have done it incorrectly, because I got the dreaded white screen.

    Bummer!

    Figured it out.

    I’m using a custom static page via Gen. Ext. plugin and I had to still change my default setting in the Theme Settings.

    Thanks for trying to help me Andrea!
