This is my first real time using WordPress, I'm basically functioning as my wife's IT department. Definitely learning as I go here so any suggestions or things that I've missed would be great. I know I need to spend some time working on how images display on mobile and other devices but lately I've been more focused on putting out fires.
The site is:
http://www.therightfits.com
Header looks great.
Don't like the Google Ad in that position. Better offering an eBook and building subscribers,
Could replace that with a horizontal optin form.
Also the MC sidebar form isn't great. Have you tried Genesis eNews Extended?
Also, the gravatar in the comments isn't very personal. Prefer to see an image of a smiling face than a logo.
Otherwise, nice job.
Thanks for the suggestions. I don't particularly like that google ad there either, more of a placeholder for the moment but I'll be looking to change that. I know the form with some sort of offering is pretty popular, we just haven't nailed down what it would be exactly.
I'll take a look at Genesis eNews Extended. The MC form is a little too big and clunky looking. I feel like i downloaded eNews but haven't had time to play with it yet.
That gravatar was also a bit of placeholder, was waiting for her ok on a head shot to use. That certainly would make it more personable though, last thing we need is another logo.
I like they way Rafal Tomal does it http://rafaltomal.com/ as far as the sign up form and eBook are concerned.
It looks beautiful bro! haha
Great job with that.
I don't see anything that is off-putting.
I feel like the site would help me find the perfect running shoe and if there is indeed advice on that it doesn't jump out at me. 😛
Looking good bro, keep it up!
Twitter feed and popular posts widgets are broken. other than that it looks great... it's clean and well designed.
I'd customise the footer a bit, but that's just me. I don't think linking out to Genesis and WordPress and your login address does you or your readers any favours.
