    I’m trying to set up my website and designing my header and the space in my theme (Fabric) is SO small and I tried to go into the functions.php and the stylesheet to change the height of it but it didn’t seem to make that space bigger for me. I only could see a sliver of my design that I made. I’m so new to this so I hope I explained it well enough!

    Hi,

    Open your style.css file and look for the following on line 216:

    .header-image #title-area,
    .header-image #title,
    .header-image #title a {
    	display: block;
    	float: left;
    	height: 90px;
    	overflow: hidden;
    	padding: 0;
    	text-indent: -9999px;
    	width: 480px;
    }

    And try changing the height value here.

    Hope this helps

    You’ll need to change the 3 values for height in your child themes functions.php file and style.css file.

    Line 29 functions.php

    /** Add support for custom header */
    add_theme_support( ‘genesis-custom-header’, array(
    	‘width’	=> 960,
    	‘height’	=> 100
    ) )

    Line 166 style.css

    #header {
    	margin: 0 auto;
    	min-height: 80px;
    	overflow: hidden;
    	width: 960px;
    }

    Line 221 style.css

    .header-image #title-area,
    .header-image #title,
    .header-image #title a {
    	display: block;
    	float: left;
    	height: 80px;
    	overflow: hidden;
    	padding: 0;
    	text-indent: -9999px;
    	width: 480px;
    }

    Perfect! Thank you! I can start a new thread for this if you’d prefer but how do I change the menu color? It looks like it is an image if I am looking at the correct thing?

    Yes its in your images folder and would require a bit of custom CSS coding so i suggest you start a new thread.
