Hello there!
Haven't had this issue before but it suddenly became a problem. I use the Lifestyle Pro theme and have featured images for my blog posts which appear in my front page as random blog entries from the site. They now have different sizes, one appears small and distorted while another loads as a big huge picture, and I have no idea how to fix this. I tried setting the thumbnail size from the widget settings as small or large but for both options, some get way bigger and some are way smaller. I am aware my images are clearly not the same size, but I've resized all my featured images to be close to one another, like 600x800 or 800X600 pixels and so on. Just to be clearer, I am talking mainly about the "Random from the blog" and "Product Reviews" sections, as they seem to have more issues. Is there a way I could get the images to display as the dimensions I set them in? They clearly don't seem to follow neither the dimensions I changed for them or the thumbnail dimensions I chose on the widget setting. Here's a link: http://www.reemalhashmi.com
Please help, my site looks funny!

Lynne emasai.comNovember 18, 2014 at 5:39 am #131970yatinMemberhi Reemal, you can try the following code for generating the fixed image. I came to know about this thing from net. You can choose your size
//* Add new image sizes
add_image_size('single-thumbnail', 580, 145, TRUE);
add_action ( 'genesis_entry_header', 'sk_show_featured_image_single' );
function sk_show_featured_image_single() {
if ( is_single() && has_post_thumbnail() ) {
echo '<div class="single-thumbnail">';
genesis_image( array( 'size' => 'single-thumbnail' ) );
echo '</div>';
}
}November 18, 2014 at 5:43 am #131971yatinMemberput this coding in function.php file
I saw your sweet and catty site (Its very nice). I want to know that how you were able to choose a random featured image of the blog from your blog post.
I am having the duplication error on my blog content in which I am two same images.
Can you please help me with this issueNovember 21, 2014 at 2:08 pm #132439reemalhashmiMemberYatin, I tried using your code, it corrupted my website 🙁 I can't display anything right now. Whenever I try to load it I just get a white blank page. I have a backup of the functions.php file and pasted the code from the original to the files in my ftp account but nothing is fixed.
Please help me fix this!Edit: Nevermind, I managed to fix it!
November 21, 2014 at 2:32 pm #132443reemalhashmiMemberI tried the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and that didn't help as well. There is no option to choose a size for the thumbnails. Is there a way I can make the images get resized by the dimensions of each widget that I specified in the options? I don't understand, it used to work perfectly that way.. I don't know what happened and I'm getting frustrated!
November 22, 2014 at 9:24 am #132516reemalhashmiMemberYatin, the way to do this is to set a featured image from the blog post editing page. It is not randomly done, you have to choose an image yourself, this is how I do it. Go to the blog post, at the bottom you will see an option that says "set featured image" and from there you can choose an image from your Media library. Is this what you are referring to? Hope this helps.
