I am really struggling to find any info on how to customise single.php…

I have a custom post type called ‘staff and creating a new file called single-staff.php which seems to relate to single custom post items (staff).
However when I use the genesis functions to remove comments etc, nothing happens and they remain.

Are there any tutorials out there that help create a non blog single post page?

The link goes to a 404 page.

Start a new topic please Rob.

Brad, I think Rob meant that the link to Brian’s tutorial now results in a 404.

It’s been missing for a while now, and I had hoped it would eventually reappear in the tutorials here, but it hasn’t so I think it’s gone for good.

I’ve also noticed that more folks are starting new topics instead of using good information in old topics because the old topics are getting harder and harder to find, which of course gets worse as more and more new duplicate topics are added.

No idea how to fix that, just an observation over the past 6 months or so.
