I've had a difficult year with Malware.
My sites have gone down on multiple occasions in 2014. Invariably my Genesis themes exhibit the characteristics outlined below. Curiously, to the support team at Hostgator these websites look fine.
This is a new project I've been working on -- http://livinginmauritius.com/
You'll note the header is skewed and the sidebar is on the wrong side. If, like my friends at Hostgator this looks fine to you, I've attached a screengrab and placed it here -- http://on.fb.me/PH4Wc3
My questions is 2 fold:
1 -- Can anyone identify the steps I need to take to restore my websites?
2 -- Can anyone recommend a great backup plugin for WordPress?
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Your advice would be appreciated.
You are using Agency Pro 3.0.0. There is a new version 3.0.1. I would suggest that you download the newest version from your account as your version is quite difference from 3.0.1. You can see the differences in your theme as compared 3.0.0 to 3.0.1 here. That link will be available for 1 day. Ii would also suggest that in doing the switch - that you go to your hosting account, rename the old Agency folder to Agency-Old. Then install the new version. I also ran your site through Sucuri and I didn't find anything wrong with that tool.
Thank You -- I really appreciate your response.
I've updated the theme in question to 3.0.1. But to no avail. Today I've deleted 2 affected websites and re-installed them page-by-page. On the small sites that's doable, but I have other websites with over 50 pages on.
Out of interest does my site look corrupted to you? I'm just curious why Hostgator can't see the version I do without me sending a screengrab.
