So on a new site, the Genesis Responsive Slider is not showing content (body of post) on one of the slides. I cannot determine why this is. Anyone know? Site is not public but I have tested a bunch of other posts and nothing shows this. When we are getting closer to launch, one of the 2 published articles is not showing content in the slider.
Any ideas?
December 16, 2013 at 8:57 am #79470SummerMemberAll of the slider settings are set to display content? And there's content in the post in question to be used?
If you do a view source of the page, does the content show up in there? Look for the "genesis-responsive-slider" div, and make sure all the slides and all the titles & content/excerpts are actually showing up in the page.

Slice of SciFi | Writers, After DarkDecember 16, 2013 at 11:38 am #79487MealtogMemberI am now noticing that this one particular article is not showing post content in featured widgets, slider or archived pages. At first I thought it might be a node issue so re-created the article in a new post and the same thing.
I then systematically tried to delete parts of the post to see if I can find the culprit but after deleting from top-down and bottom-up, I cannot determine a bad character. It almost seems like when I get pass a certain character count in the post content itself, then nothing shows in the widgets. The image shows up, just not post content.
Any more thoughts?
December 16, 2013 at 11:55 am #79489SummerMemberIs it a regular post, or a custom type? Does it have a manual excerpt or is there any additional content that might be affecting the content limit count?
What shows up for that post in the single post display, and in the regular content archives listing?

Slice of SciFi | Writers, After DarkDecember 16, 2013 at 12:02 pm #79492MealtogMemberIts a regular post and does not have any content that I think is any different than other posts. The entire post content shows up in the single post display. In the regular content archive (category, tags), only the featured image and [more] shows up. No post content. So odd. Can you think of anything I may try to troubleshoot this?
December 16, 2013 at 12:18 pm #79494SummerMemberLook at the post in HTML edit mode... that sounds like there could be a stray "more" break at the beginning of the post.

Slice of SciFi | Writers, After DarkDecember 16, 2013 at 12:38 pm #79497MealtogMemberI thought it was a strange character as well but cannot seem to locate any. This so odd. If anyone has any other suggestions, do share please. Driving me nuts.
December 16, 2013 at 2:34 pm #79557SummerMemberYou don't see anything when you edit the post and switch out of visual mode? What do you see if you view the page source for the single post?

Slice of SciFi | Writers, After DarkDecember 16, 2013 at 5:16 pm #79574MealtogMemberHey Summer, what I meant was, I don't see any out of the ordinary characters that could cause an issue. At least none that I could see in Visual or Text. Just tested with another post and sure enough, Post Content is not showing either in the widget or archives! Grrr.... something is not right here.
December 16, 2013 at 5:41 pm #79581SummerMemberUsually, that behavior is caused by the
<!--more-->
tag, but if you don't see that, I got nothin' yet.What theme are you using? Are all of the posts that are funky in the same category? Does their behavior change if you switch categories? On the new posts you're creating, are you typing in text from scratch, or pasting content from the original funky post? Does the same thing happen if you create a new post and copy/paste content from one of the other posts that work?
