I’m having real trouble with my google structured data. I keep receiving the following:

    Warning: Missing required field “updated”

So far I’ve tried the following:

However, when I tested the live data using the webmaster tools. I’m still recieving the same error message. Should I see the results instantly when I follow the above technique or will it take longer for google to adjust?

Please can someone advise how best to resolve this. I’m using the ‘Pixel Happy” Child theme.

Thanks in advance for your help.

i believe google has to recrawl your site, and then it will update webmaster tools dashboard. Might take a week or two.

to see if they recrawled it check the cache on a google results page search for

you can also try pointing a social link like tweet or link from another site that is crawled more frequently to the site to get it to recrawl faster, ie. a comment on a high traffic blog article recently posted should speed the process up.

Thanks for your help. Just to confirm however shouldn’t you see the result of weather it has worked or not using the “live data” tool in Webmaster? I have recently fixed the issue with authorship and the fix for authorship is showing up when I use the Live data tool but not for “updated warning”.

    Thanks again.
