    METRO Theme:

I’m looking to have a slideshow and multiple responsive widget areas for the rest of the homepage.

I’m looking to have them in a box format like http://pinterest.com/.

I will remove the sidebar, and all widget areas besides the slideshow widget area.

Then add all of my widgets to the footer areas.

Does this make sense? Is this a good way to go about it?

Or should I copy the CSS from the footer widgets to the upper homepage widgets? THANKS

Sorry, not sure I understand the question. If you want another section to look like the footer widgets then yes, you should be able to copy over the css and change out the selector names.
