    I am building a site, here is the url: http://southamptonyogameditation.xl-websites.com/

    I am using the Sample child theme. I want to use a background image for the header. The default image size is 1152 x 120 pixels in the ‘Upload Header Image’ interface. I have removed the bottom margin to the header, I have increased the min-height 120px to 184px in the style sheet (which is the #header div size). I tried uploading a background image via a css command, no luck. Does anyone know how I can use an background image higher than 120px on the Sample theme?

    Thanks – Seb

    I figured it out, change the height in the functions.php file.

    sebgates,

    Could you share the code? I’d love to do the same thing.

    Thanks

    (this is from a different theme but in the functions.php file you’ll find this:

    /** Add support for custom header */
    add_theme_support( ‘genesis-custom-header’, array(
    ‘width’ => 1140,
    ‘height’ => 100
    ) );

    this is where you adjust the height and width that shows up in the header upload section of appearance
