I would like to create a custom sidebar that automatically populates with a specific set of pages. For example, the page linked below has several child pages. I would like to create a sidebar that creates a link list to only those pages. If the list automatically updated as pages were added, even better.

The “Pages” widget allows you to exclude IDs but does not give the option of including only a certain set of IDs. Using the exclude feature would be cumbersome.

    Thanks for your help!

You might take a look at the Advanced Sidebar Menu plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advanced-sidebar-menu/

    From the plugin’s FAQ:

    Q. Does the menu change for each page you are on?

    A. Yes. Based on whatever parents and children pages you are on, the menu will change automatically.
