Well, the title of this topic says most of it.
How can I get the slider in Executive Theme on every page, or an pages where I want it to appear.August 10, 2013 at 7:41 am #55442
Try Brian's tutorial:
His is for a text widget, but a widget is a widget - you can add a slider in there instead.
It will need some CSS styling, but if you following the styling for your Executive theme, you should be good.

There's different ways you can do this.
Just tested this locally on the Executive theme.
Here's one method which uses the existing home-slider widget and styling:
Simply copy this PHP from the view raw link and paste it at the end of your child themes functions.php file using a text editor like Notepad++.
Or you could add another widget using Susan's solution.

No worries Susan. I tested a few solutions for this question and thought this would be a good one as it uses existing CSS and widget PHP code and simply extends the home-slider sitewide.

Thanks Brad and Susan.
But the link Susan gave for Brian's tutorial is dead.
Never mind, I used the code Brad put in his reply.
One question though, the slider now appears on every page, but is there a way to change the images. Now it shows the same images as on the homepage, but I really would like to show other images on other pages.
Is this possible with this slider, or do I need another slider to accomplish this.
Or is there a way to do this with some sort of shortcode?
Sorry for all these questions, but I'm pretty new/fresh to all of this.August 29, 2013 at 9:53 am #59550
As far as I am aware, it's not possible to do that with the Genesis Responsive Slider.
You should take a look at Soliloquy (the "lite" version is free) - it allows you to have multiple sliders in multiple locations - I really like this one! (I have the full version)

Thanks for the reply.
I hope that Soliloquy serves my needs, and as far as I can see/read, I think it does.
Thank you for pointing this one out.
I'll let you know if it worked for me.August 30, 2013 at 3:48 am #59671
I finally get it all to work the way I want it.
But, I didn't use Soliloquy, but Meta Slider instead (also free and I'm on a budget...).August 30, 2013 at 12:20 pm #59721
