    Hello Folks,
    Searched the forum’s first: I’d like to replace the title-area of the Modern Portfolio theme (M + site title) with my own logo image. (107×300). Which part of the CSS do I have to replace and with what? (I am not referring to the header image option which is discussed in the documentation)

    Thanks,
    Niels

    There are a couple of places. First look for this code in your functions.php file:

    // Add support for custom header
    add_theme_support( 'genesis-custom-header', array(
    	'width' => 1152,
    	'height' => 120
    ) );

    Change the numbers to your logo’s measurement. Then go to Appearance > Header and upload your logo. Then look for this and make sure your height is set to at least 120px.

    .header-image #title, .header-image #title a, .header-image #title-area {
    display: block;
    float: left;
    min-height: 120px;
    overflow: hidden;
    text-indent: -9999px;
    }

    I altered the functions file and uploaded header. M and Text still shows, despite of unchecking it in the header dialog. And some obvious padding issues. URL: http://www.shakingtree.net/ hints welcome. Thanks again!

    The “M” is defined in the stylesheet of the child theme. Line 505 starts the arguments for #title a::before (which is what puts the “M” in). You could remove lines 505-520 (all of #title a::before) or modify it.
