I know this is an unusual question, considering that Studio Press themes are awesome As Is and should not be changed the way I need to change it. I’ve been looking at various WP themes all day and cannot find one that I trust as much as Genesis/SP that looks like this one: http://www.beaconpointewai.com
I’m up against a VERY tight deadline (project must be completed this weekend) and I’ve been unable to get any of the SP themes I have to get the MUST HAVES end result they’re demanding; Name ugly ribbon shadow-box below a drop down menu and the drop shadow around the entire site, AND the 3 featured pages below their welcome message. As much as I hate that Beacon Point design, they want their site to look just like that — with the exception of the bottom of the page. For that, they want 1 narrow box on the left, one wide box (would take up the 2 columns) on the right for a slider. Ugh.
Can anyone recommend a theme, or advice on how I can get that drop shadow around the entire site, and have 3 paragraphs below the Welcome box in the Optimal theme? Currently, my drop shadows are going around each section individually: Header, Slider, Welcome, and then the content area.
In Deadline Panic Mode….

A lot work i think. You can grab the styles from their css file http://www.beaconpointewai.com/wp-content/themes/beaconpointe/all.css

It’s a LOT of work, and they’re on their 3rd (and final) revision. I’ve had to create 4 websites this week. Just launched one and the other 3 are the problem child. The main problem is working with a Board of Directors and everyone has their own idea of what the site should look like. Colors schemes have ranged from “New England tanish/green/gold” to “Silver/pewter with a darkish burgundy, but not deep red.”
I would copy their css file, however, it appears to be a custom made theme as it cannot be found anywhere. I doubt anyone would want to buy that theme even if it was available.March 1, 2013 at 6:36 pm #23614This reply has been marked as private.March 1, 2013 at 6:46 pm #23619
Thank you, Anita! I’m SO close to getting it where it needs to be…got the bottom part of the page solved. Now just need to deal with the Welcome section being separate from Featured pages below that, and of course there’s the ugly drop shadow issue.

Add this to your #Wrap in your CSS
box-shadow: 0 0 9px -1px #000000;
It’s hard to tell you when I don’t have a link to your site.

Tried that…didn’t work. This is what I have in Wrap right now
-moz-box-shadow: 0 30px 2px #5a5a5a; -webkit-box-shadow: 0 30px 2px #5a5a5a; box-shadow: 0 1px 30px #5a5a5a;
Unfortunately, I can’t provide the link, but I did send you a screen shot of what I can show without breaking confidentiality.March 1, 2013 at 7:15 pm #23629March 1, 2013 at 7:51 pm #23643

You need to add the code I gave you up to top to the following area:
You will then need to increase the margin or padding to the contents inside that area.
