I have a slight issue with the freelance theme. I just changed my normal website over to a theme I was building using freelance as the child theme.
I use a static page, so I set my static page to "test" and my blog or post page to "latest".
If I set it this way it displays as it does right now, if I go into the customize section set my static page to "test" and my blog or post page to select, my articles will show up. Ill never use the home.php which I think is causing the issue.
The latest page is set to a blog page, not normalAny help would be appreciated, Thanks
here is my home.php
<?php get_header(); ?><?php genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap(); ?>
<div id="content-sidebar-wrap"><?php genesis_before_content(); ?>
<div id="content" class="hfeed"><div id="home-top">
<?php if (!dynamic_sidebar('Home Top')) : ?>
<div class="widget">
<h4><?php _e("Home Top", 'genesis'); ?></h4>
<div class="wrap">
<p><?php _e("This is a widgeted area which is called Home Top. It is using the Genesis - Featured Page widget to display what you see on the Freelance child theme demo site. To get started, log into your WordPress dashboard, and then go to the Appearance > Widgets screen. There you can drag the Genesis - Featured Page widget into the Home Top widget area on the right hand side.", 'genesis'); ?></p>
</div><!-- end .wrap -->
</div><!-- end .widget -->
<?php endif; ?>
</div><!-- end #home-top --><div id="home-bottom">
<?php if (!dynamic_sidebar('Home Bottom')) : ?>
<div class="widget">
<h4><?php _e("Home Bottom", 'genesis'); ?></h4>
<div class="wrap">
<p><?php _e("This is a widgeted area which is called Home Bottom. It is using the Genesis - Featured Page widget to display what you see on the Freelance child theme demo site. </div><!-- end .wrap -->
</div><!-- end .widget -->
<?php endif; ?>
</div><!-- end #home-bottom --></div><!-- end #content -->
<?php genesis_after_content(); ?></div><!-- end #content-sidebar-wrap -->
<?php genesis_after_content_sidebar_wrap(); ?><?php get_footer(); ?>

That will prevent Genesis from being able to find and try to use it, yet it's still there if you want to change the name back later and use the widgets.
