    Does anyone know what the difference is between Metro Pro and Metro?

    We are happy to announce the release of the Metro Pro Theme. This theme can be downloaded by Pro Plus members in the My StudioPress member area.

    Thanks,
    Doug

    Nope. But I’d like to know, so I’ll follow this post and bump it to the top.

    They appear to be calling themes that are HTML5 compliant ‘Pro’. That avoids any confusion down the road.

    Does anyone know if there’s any substantive difference? Does anyone know if they made that clear…or if that’s fuzzy?

    I just wish they would make it crystal clear; if I missed something, I apologize.

    Thank you,
    Doug

    yes , big difference
    I just installed the pro and now doing the customizations
    they made some adjustments for the mobile version , with metro the screen was dancing little bit , so in pro they reduce the width by 12px , .
    metro was not html5 , even I converted to html5 but that was just polishing , the metro pro take full benefit of html5.

    this is my metro which I converted to html5

    and this is my testing server where I do the customizations for metro pro

    Very cool. Sundance, I pulled up your URL and resized my browser in varying degrees to watch the effect. Spectacular how well this theme now adjusts to different sizes.

    Thank you, Sundance! Your site looks great.

    I noticed this addition, also (among other additions):

    @media only screen and (max-width: 320px) {

    .header-image .site-title a {
    background-size: contain !important;
    }

    .site-title {
    font-size: 36px;
    font-size: 3.6rem;
    }

    }

    Should I keep this thread open for a bit, do you think?

    NP ,
    you will notice a lot of changes , also the conversion from pixel to rem its easier now , instead of 1rem=16px , now 1rem=10px , so you don’t need your calculator anymore :)

    Yes, that’s a big deal — basing the font on 10.

    (This isn’t a How Do I — this is a Why Did They Do That?)

    RE: Metro Pro

    Why did they take away the numeric code in the Table of Contents that made it relatively EASY to find each section of CSS? That, in my opinion, is a giant step backward.

    Look at the difference between Metro and Metro Pro and you’ll see what I mean.

    Just sayin’.

    Thanks, Doug

    They did’t take it away , I did , I keep my stylesheet as compact as possible.
    I use dreamweaver to edit so easy to find what I want,

    The h4 titles used to be prettier. They used a different baseline if I’m not mistaken.

    Anyone know of an easy way to change from Metro to the new HTML5 Metro Pro child theme. Does the old theme retain its settings or do you have to set it all back up.

    This plugin should restore the Metro Pro widget titles, comment title, and comment reply title to the original Metro look: Metro Theme Widget Titles
