Hey
just signed up to the forum because some funny things are happening on my site. My site isn't live yet (launch date 03 March) but using a coming soon plugin, you can see the full site here:
http://eatmovebe.com/fizzleI'm using a StreamLine Pro theme.
You should immediately see that the text above the images in the 3 Genesis Featured Page widgets is all off centre and right justified.
As well, if you click on Blog, you will see the side bar widgets, and those that have titles are now also left justified.
This happened last night and I don't know what I could have done to have affected this. I was adjusting the tags on all of my imported posts (from my previous blog) and playing around with where I wanted things on the page with widgets, but no code changes.
To note, I don't know how to do CSS code.
I did, however, on Monday night, add some code to the very end of my 'Stylesheet CSS', which was given to me by one of my colleagues over at Fizzle.
/** -----------------------------------Customization's Darren made below here-------------------------- */
.content {
color: #000000;
}.content blockquote {
color: #666666;
}.sidebar-primary {
color: #000000;
}
.sidebar-primary h4 {
color: #000000;
}I wanted to change the paragraph colour to 100% black and make the block quote darker (found it hard to read).
I'm going to remove this code for now, but the issue with the Feature Page widget text happened late last night, instead of immediately after the CSS code addition.
I was playing around with a couple of widgets, and I don't know if this is the issue. One of them was for social media buttons only at the end of posts. I disable that but that had no affect.
So, can anyone help?
Also, I would love to know how to best affect the theme's various text colours across the board.
I want my paragraph text to be #00000.
My headings 1-6 could be 10-20 lighter that black, since they will be bold.
I want to adjust the block quote to be 80% of full black.
Change the colour of the widget titles to be darker.
Remove the "//" that precedes the widget title if used.So many questions! Thanks in advance.

February 20, 2014 at 8:28 am #91376darrenstehleMemberYES! Talk about a learning curve. I had placed some CSS text formatting code in a text widget in the 'Header Right' area for my tagline. When I removed the code and simply used text with <b> formatting, it corrected EVERYTHING!
So, the advice I still need is how do I affect the text colour in posts, pages and widget titles, and remove the '//' that precedes widget titles, if you include text in that box.
Thanks!

http://EatMoveBe.comFebruary 20, 2014 at 8:47 am #91378AnitaKeymasterLook for this and remove it if you don't want the //:
.after-entry .widget-title:before, .sidebar .widget-title:before { color: #989898; content: "//"; margin-right: 1.2rem; }
Then right below that code is this - change the color.
.after-entry .widget-title, .sidebar .widget-title, .sidebar .widget-title a { color: #AAAAAA; }

February 20, 2014 at 11:47 am #91436darrenstehleMemberAwesome. I found it and was able to remove the // from the sidebar widgets. But the colour didn't change (I set it to #000000).
I see I will have to find the same code for my footer area.
Where will I find in the code the section to modify the Header and Blockquote font colours for posts and pages?
Thanks so much for all your help!
