    Hi :-)

    I have been trying to add the new Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reports code to GENESIS > Theme Settings > Header
    Per these instructions:

    https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2444872?hl=en&utm_id=ad

    I had successfully run the original Google Analytics in this area, but cannot get this new one to work on the Studiopress/Genesis platform… I have one WP site that uses another template company, and it works perfectly…

    And I have tried to clear the cache…

    Any suggestions?

    Thrive!

    When you are in Google Analytics – and follow these directions to add detailed Demographics and Interest Reports to the analytics admin:

    https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2444872?hl=en&utm_id=ad

    You then ‘verify’ the site in the analytics admin… to which it just keeps asking me to verify… vs the other site I have on another template, which verified with no problems… and I followed the exact same instructions (and have tried multiple times to make it work just in case I missed a step :-)

    Thanks and thrive!

    Did you add the Google Analytics twice somehow? If you look at the source for your site, you can see this:

    <script type="text/javascript">
      var _gaq = _gaq || [];
      _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-278945-15']);
      _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);
      (function() {
        var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
        ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://' : 'http://') + 'stats.g.doubleclick.net/dc.js';
        var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
      })();
    </script>

    but farther down, you also see this:

    		<script type="text/javascript">
    		  var _gaq = _gaq || [];
    		  _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-278945-15']);
    		  _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);
    		  (function() {
    		    var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
    		    ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
    		    var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
    		  })();
    		</script>

    The instructions you linked to say to replace the one line with the other, not have both. Maybe the verification is getting confused?

    I think I found it. The second GA script is coming from All in One SEO. Maybe if you remove the setting from the plugin config, it’ll work?
