    I have removed the RSS comments from my site:

    BUT, I use the same code on a new blog, and it won’t work… is it the new update?

    ALSO, I had the RSS comments removed successfully from another blog, but when I removed the code, it did not work as expected, and when I reinstated the code… it still did not work… quite unexpectedly:

    So, my question is, how do I remove the RSS comments now that the genesis child theme has been updated recently? The old code does not seem to work:

    //Remove Comments RSS Link from Navigation Extras
    remove_filter(‘genesis_nav_items’, ‘genesis_nav_right’, 10, 2);
    remove_filter(‘wp_nav_menu_items’, ‘genesis_nav_right’, 10, 2);
    add_filter(‘genesis_nav_items’, ‘child_nav_right’, 10, 2);
    add_filter(‘wp_nav_menu_items’, ‘child_nav_right’, 10, 2);
    * Modifies Navigation Extras RSS Links option to remove Comment RSS Link.

    * @link
    function child_nav_right($menu, $args) {
    $args = (array)$args;
    if ( !genesis_get_option(‘nav_extras_enable’) || $args[‘theme_location’] != ‘primary’ )
    return $menu;

    if( genesis_get_option(‘nav_extras’) == ‘rss’ ) {
    $rss = ‘‘.__(‘Follow’, ‘genesis’).’‘;
    $menu .= ‘<li class=”right rss”>’.$rss.’‘;
    else {
    $menu .= genesis_nav_right($menu, $args);
    return $menu;

    navbar change

    I also need an solution for this and haven’t found any answers here. Previously posted code snippets appear not to work correctly after the framework update last year.

    Has anyone been able to remove the comments rss navigation and still retain the Posts rss navigation with the latest version of Genesis?

    @paulmontgomery – this old thread may not get much attention. I’d suggest you pose your question in a new thread (that will hit the font page) and include information about your theme, version of Genesis in use, a link to your site, etc.

    Choose your next site design from over 350 Genesis themes.
