Hello, I want to buy Genesis framework with the template and join to your community. But I have a problem with choosing adequate template.
Currently Im making a blog. I intend to get effect as : http://www.autokult.pl
The most I care for such an arrangement of new entries (represented by the pictures and the title - no description, bearing a label with the name of the category to which they belong), and also the exact same appearance of the menu bar.Can you recommend a template that I will be able to adapt in such a way as possible as the simplest way?
Or tell me that such an effect is impossible to achieve using Gensis?
The last question that I would like to ask before you buy it - if Genesis can be deployed to other templates, not created by StudioPress?
Heavily count on the fastest response and I hope that today will join your community.
Greetings from PolishMay 30, 2014 at 6:34 am #107457Davinder Singh KainthMemberHi, welcome to Genesis Club!
Choosing child theme is a very subjective decision. It all depends on your personal preferences for color and layout. Best is, browse these websites: http://www.studiopress.com/themes , http://www.themesauce.com (you can also Google Search) and select theme that fits best to your requirements.
Besides Genesis Child themes created by Studiopress there are number of third party developers who create Genesis specific themes, you can use any theme create by them. You can also hire a developer to create custom Genesis Theme according to your specific requirements.

At the moment I chooses "Magazine Pro" template It has widgets on the home page, and that will allow me to create a custom layout recent posts.
However, I would ask - how do I select a theme to customize to my needs. Can I eg use the Custom CSS, or totally change the appearance of such a standard top menu? I would like the logo was on the top bar, to the left of the main menu (Home, Samples, Layouts ....).
Besides - can I easily insert on picture representing a post, his category name, instead create date (the colored label on the picture) ?
I was a little afraid that after purchasing it turns out that it was really unnecessary expense, and I'll have to go back to the starting point.May 30, 2014 at 11:55 am #107524Davinder Singh KainthMemberFirst, if you have already purchased Genesis Framework then hold off purchase of child theme for time being. In your Studiopress account you should see Genesis Sample Theme. You can use that sample child theme and play around with colors and features for learning purpose.
As such you can change any child theme's colors, add features provided right CSS and PHP code is added. For example I recently used Magazine Theme to create specific look that client wanted.
