thanks brad! i guess, if i want a lot of visitors, i'd better start looking at other options.
abexpMemberthanks mike! after spending all day yesterday & a good part of the night, i've figured out the MAIN reasoning for "lifestyle pro" is this thing you call "responsiveness"...trying to make the websites adapt to all the new platforms (and i'm sure we're not very far away from those even tinier "dick tracy" watches to be the next popular thing. truth is...i feel like i've gone back a couple of decades, when i made ms frontpage websites and was NEVER sure how they would look on all the different browser versions out there. i know i'm going to have to adapt with the rest of the world, but three years (is lifetime 2 that old?) flies by like three weeks to an old man like me...lol
since i'm not quite ready for all the different platforms, i've gone back to lifestyle 2, for the time being, at least. i really haven't found enough "extras" in the pro version, other than that it's "responsive". i will start studying the "responsiveness" of other websites, though. and i will go take a look at "news pro", although another theme isn't quite in the budget quite yet. i'm still waiting for my adsense revenue to hit DOUBLE DIGITS! lol
much thanks!
abexpMemberI would like to add that I am also experiencing the same problem. I was starting another site with my old Lifestyle 2 theme, trying to search for the latest "hack" for getting all the original color options back, when I noticed the new "Lifestyle Pro" and hoped all the bugs were finally fixed in this new version.
When i installed Lifestyle Pro, however, I found there are only a FEW color options...and also ran into this insanely little teeny weeny custom header image. If this is seriously what the developers consider "attractive", I would really like to see a site which is successfully using this little header, because I feel like I'm missing something here.
I don't mind the "work around" (brad's instructions) to what it seems should already have been added into this version...but I'm wondering now if it's really worth the trouble...or whether I should just go back to the Lifestyle 2 version.
I really hate to be so negative, but I'm just really having a hard time understanding. Hope you can help! (And, btw, it appears as if GJudy made her last post a week ago, with no further response.)
