Andrea RennickMemberWhy no tlok for a membership plugin instead? The option to have password on your posts is a core WordPress option with no relation to Genesis. You set a password for each post separately.
A membership plugin will let your users sign up to your site and you can then restrict posts to members only.

It's the widget area the slider is in.
Also, you would still be limited by the maximum width of the slider images. Imagine what happens on a 27" monitor, full screen.
