    Go to my website, look in the footer and send me your email address so I can send you something.

    Do you mean the grey background in that widget area only? It should stay full width when you apply the code. I just checked your website. I don’t see the code added there.

    Any one of the Studiopress themes would work. Do you want the site to be responsive for mobile devices? Do you want a portfolio type layout for each artists or category? It helps when you can provide a sample site that you like. Do you have a site you’ve seen that you like that you can share?

    There isn’t one particular theme that has been developed for Buddypress, however I and a few others have been using the Outreach theme. There’s a few kinks but you can get it to work by searching the forum area for Outreach and Buddypress. You will need to install the GenesisConnect plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/genesis-connect-for-buddypress/) to assist you with properly formatting the pages.

    Jon, I installed it but it doesn’t look like what you shared above. It just looks like a shell of some sort. I don’t see widget positions such as what you have there. Is this a skeleton that we build off of?

    The reason why it’s not working is because you have added the text to the body. Where exactly did you place the text in your code? That area is technically not the footer for Genesis/Child Theme purposes.

    I don’t code, but I just got this to work for me. If you haven’t already installed the “Genesis Simple Hooks” plugin, install and activate it.

    Then, look for the box labeled – genesis_footer hook. Paste this in the box and save it – REPLACING the TEXT with your own text. Be sure to check the box that says UNHOOK genesis_do_footer….

    The code will not copy in here so click this link – https://gist.github.com/01a089c15513a5733b7d.git

    Then go to your Style.css file and look for this. Your font size may be different, but change it to the size you want and save it.

    #footer .wrap {
    font-size: 14px;
    }

    This works for me so it should work for you so you won’t be using the BODY of the code.

    Can you post a link to the client site? We need to visually see what you are talking about.

    Open up that page in TEXT view. Look at the first line and REMOVE this code –
    <span data-mce-mark=”1″ style=”line-height: 13px;”>

    Did you copy and paste that text from somewhere?

    I cannot find how to center an image smaller than the slider size, but you could change the width of the left and right widget areas where they are evenly proportionate. See how this looks for you.

    Look for this:

    #genesis-slider, #slides, .genesis-slider-wrap {
    height: 195px;
    width: 550px;  <— change to 450
    }

    Look for this:

    .home-top-right {
    float: right;
    height: 235px;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    width: 600px; <— change to 500
    }

    Look for this:

    .home-top-left {
    background: url(“images/home-top-left.png”) repeat-y scroll left center #1EA7E8;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    float: left;
    height: 235px;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    width: 330px; <— change to 430
    }

    In your Menu – if you View All, there was a default Home already there. You just needed to add it to your menu, then save it. Did you add an actual Page and then added it to the menu?

    Try adding it to Genesis > Theme Settings > Scroll down to Header/Footer scripts and place it in the header box.

    What is the URL to your website so I can take a look?
