The font developer will have instructions on how to do this I believe. I’ve always used Google Fonts. I guess I should step it up a notch, huh?

Ah haaaa! I posted this on my Twitter. Here is the response.
Oh, great. You will love the PRO membership. You can take pieces parts from other themes and mix them together.

No one has reported that they’ve had any lapse in service, blogs not syncing properly, or slowness. But like I mentioned, I started adding Nick’s code to my clients’ sites because I didn’t want to be dependent on too many plugins. But I know the other plugins give you options and variables you can play with that make the use of a plugin more attractive.
So you probably will need to make your adjustments in the Genesis Extender plugin since that’s what you are using to modify your your theme.
I see you are using the Genesis Extender plugin. How are you adding the background image.
I see Active plugins. Please Deactivate all plugins and let me know when you have so I can look again. Thank you.
The content of the site is not important, I just need to see the site in general for coding purposes to assist you. Please share a link to your site.
To chime in here – for your first issue of the duplicating posts and pages. The home of Scribble has the Featured Page area as see here – http://awesomescreenshot.com/0b826ftzef. You could duplicate this widget area’s CSS to use the pages to save yourself some time, or just replace the Post widget area with a duplicate widget area of the Pages. Much better to do it this way because if you create all those posts, you then need to hide them from your Archive Page and so the they aren’t picked up in the search engines.
As for the footers – the footer area is not available for the home page, but on the internal pages. Open up your Home.php file – scroll to the bottom and look for this – REMOVE it.
remove_action( 'genesis_before_footer', 'genesis_footer_widget_areas' );
To add to this, you will also need to make your images responsive. Currently, your header is not responsive. I would use the Webfonts as Christina has suggested.
There a quite a few blogs about it. Brad Dalton has written quite a number of tutorials on various things. Look here.
