Hello Anita,
When reviewing the themes, they do not provide you the features of the theme, they only list a few basic highlights such as "ecommerce" and "mobile responsive".I have emailed StudioPress on requesting this information being posted and a recommendation of themes that meet my needs.
I would like to give Mai Delight, I would like to mitigate spending $56 each time to see if the theme will meet my needs, if that makes sense, as this will be the 3rd theme purchased. If that makes sense?

So, I am now looking for a Looking for a theme that supports a full header image.
It would be a bonus if the theme would allow supports text over the image (think tagline) without having to use a photo editing tool to enable this feature.
Like the Mai Delight Theme: https://my.studiopress.com/themes/mai-delight/
Would like to have the image to fill the header, like is presented.
The tag line at the bottom of the image.
Instead of having the text box "Mai Delight Recipes, place a logo there or offset it the one side of the image or the other. These are the other site requirements that I do not want to lose.
Thank you in advance.
bslugnutParticipantThanks Victor!
I will De-Activate all the Plugins and check for functionality.
If I am able to access the Blocks, I will add the Plugins back one-by-one after testing functionality.

My previous theme was Prose, where the "Design Settings" were presented.I will give the Design Palette Pro a deep look, at first glance, it looks like it would be a great plugin for me to have and assisting my in customizing my site.
Thank you! 🙂
bslugnutParticipant@Anita, thank you for sharing the link that may be of great use, if I choose the Essence Pro theme! 🙂
My current site is outdated on both software version (WordPress 5.3.2 running Prose theme. Using Genesis 2.10.1. PHP 7.2) and visually.
In need to update it to make it more visually appealing and have the latest versions of software.
The primary function of my site is for posting press releases, reviews of outdoor products and adventures. I like a nice static header image and or custom background image that I have taken.
In your professional opinion/recommendation is there a better suited theme with these functionalities?
HTML5 Markup
Mobile Responsive
Custom Background (photo that I have taken)
Custom Header (static image)
Custom Menus (on all pages)
Footer Widgets
Widget Areas
Theme Customizer
Theme Options
Sidebar Layout Options
Ecommerce (Nice to have)
Landing Page
Featured ImagesThank you in advance 🙂
bslugnutParticipantThank you, Anita.
Yes, when I mentioned that some of the features were "missing", this is from the https://my.studiopress.com/themes/ page, when you click on each theme.
Under each theme there is a section of "The Open Source Genesis Framework includes the following functionality:" listed, along with some other benefits to the left of that list.
An example from my statement would be the Altitude and Essence Pro Themes.
I do not have access to the entire theme library.
I have the old Prose theme for my blog and need to updated it to a newer HTML5 Child Theme.
Thanks,
RudybslugnutParticipantLooking for some additional guidance, as I don't seem to have the menu option recommended...
Additionally, not even sure how to decipher what the custom code is within the style.css, as it was done nearly 2 yrs ago.
Is there a tool to compare the differences?
bslugnutParticipantSorry for the delayed response...
I don't seem to have the Genesis > Custom Code menu
I do have Genesis >
Theme Settings
Design Settings
SEO Settings
Import/Export
Simple HooksCurrently running versions:
WordPress 3.5.1.
Genesis: Version: 1.9.1
Prose: Version 1.0bslugnutParticipantI made some changes in the style.css file, all other changes were through the dashboard
When you stated Genesis Custom Code Fields, are you referring to Genesis Tab? Design Settings? Simple Hooks?
Should I upgrade the Prose Theme first then copy the custom code?
