RickDParticipant
Thank you Anita.
In the past I've always done it the way you mentioned. Since I haven't been active with Genesis for the last 2-3 years I wasn't sure if anything changed due to Gutenberg and the changing of ownership.
Is the future of the Genesis Framework still stable? As in do you envision it to be around for another 3-5 years? I did find the Genesis Block Theme but it's in BETA so I don't want to use that in Production yet.

RickDParticipantTake a look at about line 213 in your style.css file. This code .header-image #title-area, .header-image #title, .header-image #title a is being float to the left and once you hit the tablet-portrait mode floating it left is making your social icons as well as your logo disappear.
Hopefully that will give you a start as to how to make everything mobile friendly.

RickDParticipantCan you share a link to your website? It would be much easier to help you out if I can see the website.

RickDParticipantHi Akhilendra,
Since you didn't specify which child theme you're using, I'll try to generalize my answer using the Metro theme.
You will need to edit Style.css in your child theme. More specifically, you'll need to locate the CSS selector similar to .comment, .comment-list li, .ping-list li and/or #comments, #respond. Simply change the background-color to your choosing and you're good to go.
Without more specifics from your end, it's hard to be exact.
Hope what I provided helps to guide you in the proper direction!

RickDParticipantHey Mike,
You're welcome. I'm happy to hear that you got it all working. I looked at your website and it looks great. Making those two footer sections widgetized really makes it easy to switch things around without having to touch the functions.php file.

RickDParticipantHey Mike,
The code I presented should have done the trick. I've used it on a second website since I originally posted the code. Feel free to send me an email at [email protected] and lets work something out to get your footer where it needs to be.

RickDParticipantHey Emma,
Happy to hear one of the solutions worked for you. I'm not sure why the second version didn't work properly. It's what I have running on a test website at http://www.rvaplaces.com. Even though I haven't styled the text it works properly. Maybe you had partial code from first part mixed with part two???
If you want to try again, I've zipped the contents of part 2. If you start from scratch it should work fine. http://www.wpsyntax.com/downloads/metro-theme-footer-widgetized.php.zip

RickDParticipantHey Mike,
If you need any additional help just let me know. Sometimes the functions.php file can test a person's sanity. One simple fat-finger mistake and the website goes kaput.

RickDParticipantHey Mike,
I just had to do this same thing so I wrote a quick tutorial on it. It should help you get your footer customized the way you need it. Here's the link: http://www.wpsyntax.com/wordpress/customize-footer-metro-theme

RickDParticipantThanks for looking. As I'm more of a developer and not a designer, I have what I think are good reasons for the divide in color combinations. They make sense to me but probably not a designer. I'll keep your suggestions top of mind while I continue to fine tune the theme.

RickDParticipantThanks! For the homepage I started with this tutorial http://www.carriedils.com/add-slider-minimum-theme/2293 and then instead of dropping in the Genesis Slider I dropped in a single text widget. Have a look at Carrie's tutorial and if you need more specifics let me know and I'll be happy to write a tutorial with all the gory details.

RickDParticipantTry adding a new class named .moretag and set the display to block. It should place the link onto a new line.
I pasted the code below, just not sure how it will look when I hit reply to your post.
<code>
.moretag {display: block;
}
</code>

RickDParticipantLook at your homepage with FireBug and you will notice that inside of #wrap you have #footer-widgets and #footer. Now go open your about us page and look at your #wrap. Both pieces of footer code is non-existent in that page. That's a good place to start the troubleshooting process. My guess is that you're using a different template on the about page or that something in your code has accidentally deleted footer code. Start where I suggested and let me know what you find.
Thanks,
Rick

Can you be more specific? The "home top" widget area contains 3 text widgets in the demo. If you want to make it 5 across, simply add two more widgets, realizing that you may need to then adjust the CSS to accommodate the extra two items.
If this is not what you meant by your question, please be more specific and I'll try again to help you out.
Thanks!

RickDParticipantHey Keystone,
Image 6 is issuing an error 404 which is why it's not in your slider.
http://testsite.magiccurries.com.au/slider-6/
To troubleshoot, start with image 4 in your slider. You to: http://testsite.magiccurries.com.au/slider-4/. Click it again and you go to http://testsite.magiccurries.com.au/slider-4/1rings-1140x445/. Click again and you go to http://testsite.magiccurries.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/1Rings-1140x445.jpg.
Now do same with Slider 6. Since image is missing in slider, click on the text in top left of slider 6 and you go to http://testsite.magiccurries.com.au/slider-6/. Now click on image and you go to http://testsite.magiccurries.com.au/slider-1/1curry-1140x445/ which is a 404 error.
Hope that helps!

RickDParticipantHere is some information on nav menu issues that might be relevant to the issue with the Quattro theme. Scroll towards the bottom and have a look at the CSS. If this doesn't solve your issue I would suggest entering a support ticket as I'm seeing this happen on the Quattro Demo site as well which indicates it's a support issue and should be resolved for everyone using the theme.

RickDParticipantTo determine if your redirect is actually sending the proper 301 status code, you can download the "Live HTTP Headers" add-on for FireFox. You can find it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/live-http-headers/
Once installed, type in your old url and you should see the browser get redirected to your new URL. Then take a look in Live HTTP Header for the message HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently. Any other redirect status code could have a negative impact on your search rankings.

RickDParticipantHey Rick,
Just this morning I posted a tutorial on creating a WordPress test site on wpsyntax.com. If you notice how the folks here at StudioPress showcase their themes on URLs following the pattern http://demo.studiopress.com/THEME-NAME/, my tutorial covers how to build that same functionality.
http://www.wpsyntax.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-build-wordpress-test-site
Good luck!
