Ok ... wrong thought:
Try this:
function jr_change_post_title() { echo '<h1 class="entry-title"><span><?php the_title(); ?></span></h1>'; } // end function if( is_home() == false ) { remove_action('genesis_post_title', 'genesis_do_post_title); add_action('genesis_post_title', 'jr_change_post_title'); } // end if statement /* Other code here */ genesis();
Jan RuehlingMember<?php function jr_change_post_title() { if( is_home() == false ) { echo '<h1 class="entry-title"><span><?php the_title(); ?></span></h1>'; } // end if statement } // end function remove_action('genesis_post_title', 'genesis_do_post_title); add_action('genesis_post_title', 'jr_change_post_title'); /* Other code here */ genesis();
Jan RuehlingMemberIt is a plugin ... just drop the php file into your plugins folder and you are good to go ...
Jan RuehlingMemberor maybe even better ... use this:
https://github.com/mfields/mfields-opengraph-meta-tags
That should do all you need ...
Jan RuehlingMember<meta content="<?php echo $post->post_excerpt; ?>"/>
This part is responsible for the description ... it pulls the excerpt like it does on your blog ... excerpt present -> it takes that ... no excerpt -> extract from your content
Jan RuehlingMemberHello Sido,
you are missing a sub-class in the title on your singleposts / -pages.
Code Homepage:
<h2 class="entry-title"> <a href="http://www.youmeandfivebucks.com/free-to-be-me/" title="free to be me" rel="bookmark">free to be me</a> </h2>
Code other pages:
<h1 class="entry-title"> About </h1>
The .entry-title has the striped background ... but the white background in the middle comes from the <a> - tag ... and that's missing in #2
You have to edit your loop (single.php && page.php) to
1) add an <a> tag around the title (
<h1 class="entry-title"><a>About</a></h1>
) ย ... this is an ugly solution since the color will change as clickable link on hover ... OR
2) add a <span> around the titleย (
<h1 class="entry-title"><span>About</span></h1>
) and style it in your (Child)theme style.css:
.entry-title span { background: white; }
OR
3) add a <span class="white"> around the title and add this in the style.css
.white { background: white; }
Example loop-change solution #3:
In single.php of your (child)theme (create if it does not exist):
<?php function jr_change_post_title() { ?> <h1 class="entry-title"><span class="white"><?php the_title(); ?></span></h1> } remove_action('genesis_post_title', 'genesis_do_post_title); add_action('genesis_post_title', 'jr_change_post_title'); /* Other code here */ genesis();
Hope that works for you ...

sorry, just had "Siesta" ...
this is a really "hacky" solution now but since you already seems to have custom coded a LOT ... it should work:
Add this:
#header ย .widget-area {
width: 710px;
float: right;
margin-top: -40px;
}
and be sure to test the heck out of it in different browsers ๐
May 24, 2013 at 5:08 am in reply to: Height of Header Unstable in Prose Theme…No One hears…Plz Help #42441Jan RuehlingMemberOk ... your stylesheet is minified so I can't give you line numbers ... and I hope you work in a child theme anyway ... you do .. don't you ๐
1. Your #header has a max-width of 200px right now ... remove that ...
2. Add "float: left" to the header ...
Could you leave the site online while I am looking please ...
Jan RuehlingMemberYou have to add open graph meta tags to your header ... here is a nice explanation:
http://designpx.com/tutorials/facebook-open-graph-protocol-meta-tags/
The hook to use in Genesis is genesis_meta ...
I will post the complete code a little later ... hope that helps for now
May 24, 2013 at 4:42 am in reply to: Height of Header Unstable in Prose Theme…No One hears…Plz Help #42435Jan RuehlingMemberIt is online for me again ...
So what exactly do you want to achieve?
Jan RuehlingMemberWhen you upload the image through the backend the image is saved in the "uploads" folder ... on the server ๐ In the mean time wordpress resizes it and saves a copy in thumbnail, medium, full etc depending on what is registered in the functions.php of the theme. ...
Good practice or not ... it takes server space but it is on the server as any other image .. so why not ...
A different thing is when the changes should be permanent in the theme ... then the image is an asset and belongs definitely into the theme folder ...
When the uploads are organized in date based folders ... the default in WP ... the image link will break as soon as another install is used ...

I just wanted to help but your domain http://www.outlookpakistan.com/ gives me a 500 error ... bigger problems? ๐
Let me know when it is online again and when I can help you out.
Jan RuehlingMemberHello Jay,
when you change .mp-home #footer (style.css, line 463) from this:
.mp-home #footer {
...
top: -9rem;
...
...
}to this:
.mp-home #footer {
...
margin-top: -14rem;
...
...
}at least the contact page is fixed ...
I will look into your homepage footer a little later ... when my clients stop jumping at my back ๐
Greetz,
Jan
Jan RuehlingMemberTo use the featured image upload in the post editor you have to enable it in the functions.php of your theme ... here is a nice article about that:
http://webonanza.com/how-to-add-featured-images-to-blog-posts-in-the-genesis-framework-wordpress/
... following the steps in that article will show "add featured image" in the sidebar ... but if your theme doesn't have any templatetags that display the featured image in the frontend I fear that it won't help you much ...
If you want to read more:
