February 20, 2018 at 7:00 am in reply to: Where the heck did these Woocommerce pages come from??? #216812mkattyMember
Well I'll be darned! Never happened to me before (even with that gallery plugin) so of course I associated it w/WooCommerce.
Go figure.
So. Now I must figure out how to have a gallery with the images linking to a page of my choosing. Do it over? Any advice? Thanks for taking the time to answer Victor.
~KittymkattyMemberWonderful!
Thank you Sridhar.
🙂
~KittymkattyMemberSo frustrating, isn't it? It seems to center at a smaller screen size (mobile, iPad) but not on large desktop. I had same issues with a few - I think I have every single slider on CodeCanyon! - and I would write to the developer of the plugin. I ultimately wound up using MetaSlider on most sites.
Good luck. I like the front page of that site btw!
🙂
~KittymkattyMemberThanks for reminding me Christoph. I was going to contact them and never did. Good idea.
Done deal.
🙂mkattyMemberDave, thank you!!! Here goes nothin'!
🙂
~KittymkattyMemberOk. I found the problem but don't understand why that affected it. Not sure what I'm missing.
In the custom CSS for Dynamik, I added >
body { margin: 0 auto; width: 1990px; }
added it because the inner wrap was a tiny bit wider than the nav menu and header. Was driving me crazy! Couldn't find where else to change it, or what else to do. Tried widening the nav menu but it didn't resize perfectly (and you know it's gotta be perfect!). So the code above in the Dynamik custom css worked but disabled the responsiveness of the site.
Yikes. Now what? Any suggestions?
Thanks!!
~KittymkattyMemberExcellent! I think ServerPress may have been what I saw before. Looks great! The export WP to new server looks like I'll even be able to do it - ha!
Thanks Ozzy!
~KittymkattyMemberHey King Crimson (!)
Should have read that first... sorry about that. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
🙂
~KittymkattyMemberHey Andrea,
Thanks for replying. I think I'll try a dif image gallery. Maybe just use Jetpack or the default WP gallery.
Thanks again!
🙂mkattyMemberBtw, I'm aware of the text editor within WP (as opposed to the visual) but don't think that's an answer when trying to label/link within the gallery. When I did a Google search for my question above, that seemed to be all that I found...
mkattyMemberGuess I never even looked at the default or JetPack.
Thanks much!
~KittymkattyMemberLiz, the solution that Andrea posted worked great for me. I know this is an older post, but it definitely helped! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Andrea!
🙂
~KittymkattyMemberThanks William, I'll check those out. Never thought of that to tell you the truth.
🙂
~KittymkattyMemberThanks Davinder!
mkattyMemberHi Sridhar - just noticed your reply. Sorry I didn't respond.
All is good now.
🙂
~KittymkattyMemberThat's a good idea Andrea. Maybe I'll try that next time.
Someone else suggested "desktop server" which I may try as well... probably just mess around on server for the moment.
🙂
Thanks Andrea,
~KmkattyMemberI found a widget! Yay!
Thanks for listening.
🙂
*this is the plugin btwmkattyMemberHi Andrea,
Didn't see you here! Thanks for answering me on Twitter.
🙂mkattyMemberMaybe I just misunderstand the html5 issue. That I can still view the pic as written in the "old" html (as above) - not sure. Not sure when one wouldn't see it...
Whatever.
I'm good.October 14, 2013 at 8:02 pm in reply to: Style or html for a sticky post or featured page snippet #66740mkattyMemberFYI, I took the sticky post off of the home page.
Otherwise still trying to figure out how to style 'featured page' excerpt.
