Woah! What an elegant simple solution!
Your a champ Brad!
Thanks!
Marc TibesarMemberMy bad everyone.
The prior theme's style.css was interfering.
I removed the prior theme in its entirety and the menus are working properly now.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Marc TibesarMemberIts seems Brian Gardner wants to blog more about himself these days than his company StudioPress.
StudioPress is now using their blog to just announce new theme updates.
Recommend Brian and StudioPress revitalize their blog and give us the inside scoop on the company and its products.
Seems that StudioPress has abandoned its customers.
It's almost as if StudioPress is waiting for someone to buy them up.... Sad....
Marc TibesarMemberThank you very much!
Marc TibesarMemberThank you so much Tom.
Issue #1:
I installed WordPress in the root of the site and, yes my home page is tibesar.com (and yes, it is my blog).
However, the URL in the address bar reads 'http://tibesar.com' not 'http://tibesar.com/blog'
If I try to go to http://tibesar.com/blog/ I get a 404 Page Not Found Error. Is that correct behavior?
Issue #2:
Next, when I populate the Home Top/Middle and Bottom widget areas,,, the very nice magazine styled home page appears.
However the URL in the address bar still reads 'http://tibesar.com' not 'http://tibesar.com/templates/blog'
If I try to go to http://tibesar.com/templates/blog/ I also get a 404 Page Not Found Error
So, if I redirect to http://tibesar.com/templates/blog/ won't my family members get a 404 Page Not Found Error once they login?
I will do further testing. Thank you again!
Marc TibesarMemberThank you very much Tom for the great suggestions.
I want to use my barebones Landing Page (that forces family members to login) and then, redirect to the custom Magazine Pro home page.
However, my problem is this:
What is the URL of the Magazine Pro's "home" page (the page that has the Home Top/Home Middle and Home Bottom widgets on it) please???
Marc TibesarMemberThanks everyone.
Lots of beautiful flat designs at Flat UI Design: http://fltdsgn.com
Brian has been steering his themes of late towards flat design (i.e. Metro, etc.) but, I think bold bright colors and flat icons and typography will be the next big thing.
I'm a little surprised it isn't on fire just yet, but I hope to see some themes soon 😉

I would make the description "A modern day manual for a modern day man" the same width as the title 'Manual Of Man' (probably by using a smaller font size).
I would use the same font for the primary navigation menu as the secondary navigation menu
I would attempt to consolidate the navigation menus into one menu (one primary navigation menu only) in order to simplify the look of the header and to simplify the navigation
The Home link should perhaps be on the farthest left
Need more vertical spacing between the Title and the Description
Maybe the menu item 'Project: Honda CB450' could be shortened to just 'Projects'
The menu item 'Everything' is too abstract?
Marc TibesarMemberYes. When I changed the Settings --> General url it crashed my site. Boy was that scary. I decided to leave the General url settings alone once and for all 🙂
Marc TibesarMemberThank you Rob.
I already have this link in my main navigation bar.
However, I still want the Site Title to link to the blog.
Marc TibesarMemberAt the top left of my home page is the title of my site.
When you place your cursor on this title it links to sitename.com
I don't want it to link to the homepage (sitename.com)
Instead I want it to link to sitename.com/blog
I already have a blog category and I want the homepage for the site to be the blog.
Thank you so much,
Marcus

The code you provided works great.
This code should be added to the Genesis snippets library.
Hiding tags is a significant security enhancement to private Genesis websites.
Accordingly, you have enhanced the security of our archives and, we appreciate your contribution and sharing.
Cheers!
