See your other thread - this may also be related to WP 3.5. Are you using Dynamic Content Gallery?
In any case, I recommend that you deactivate all plugins, and see if that resolves the issue. If it does, start activating plugins one at a time and test to see which one may be causing the issue.
SusanModeratorHave you recently upgraded to WP 3.5?
See this thread:
http://www.studiopress.community/topic/css-for-visual-editor/
and on the WP site, the known issues with 3.5:

SusanModeratorYes, this is possible in Prose.
A menu item can be set up to open a page (for example "About"), or you can have it open up a URL (for example all posts with the category of "cooking").
To set up a menu, go to Dashboard > Menus. From there, you will create menu items, and assign it to the Primary Navigation Menu (if you just want one menu bar), or to the Secondary Navigation.
SusanModeratorSusanModerator@buddy_boy8403 - based on Rick's new thread here, it doesn't look like he got his issue fixed:

*Edited to add: I've just merged the two topics threads together, as it's the same question (with the same parties)
SusanModeratorRick - There is no separate area (in terms of background) between your sidebar and your content, so if you change the color of your content area, it will change the content and sidebar area.
If you want more separation between your content and your sidebar, you might consider changing this:
.sidebar .widget-wrap { border: 4px solid #f5f5f5; }
That is the thin border around your sidebar. Change the #f5f5f5 for a more contrasting color if you wish, or change the border size by changing 4px to something also. Just keep in mind that if you change the border size, you may need to adjust the width of your sidebar and/or content area to accommodate this change.
SusanModeratorYou're welcome.
I meant to say - I love the header on your site! 🙂
I'll go ahead and close this thread as "resolved" - go ahead and start another thread if you have more questions.
SusanModerator@Jordydme - thanks for that correction - I was looking at the four widgeted areas above the "call to action".
SusanModeratorMary - it works for me (I'm using Google Chrome). You could try on another computer (or another browser) to test.
But, in the meantime, here's a link to update that area if you want to:
SusanModerator1. Your background is a image in your theme folder called bg.png (it's white) - you can replace that with another image of your choosing. Just note that the "background" of your site includes the middle content area, so replacing that bg.png with a solid color red will remove the white of your content area, too.
2. Look for this in your stylesheet: Replace #333 with the color of your choice.
#nav li li a:hover, #nav li li a:active { background-color: #fff; color: #333; }
SusanModerator@patricksears - please go ahead and start a new post. This thread is marked as "resolved", which means that community members won't be looking here for new questions.
Also, to help with your question, can you please also post a link to your site, and let us know which theme you are using.
SusanModeratorWith the Education theme, can I control which Post categories are displayed on the home page?
If you selected "Genesis - Featured Posts" to go into that area, then you can control which categories display. Open up the Featured Posts widget, and select which categories to display from the drop-down.
SusanModeratorHmm..it seems to be changing the color of the area to the left and right of the posts, but not the area in between the content area and the the sidebar.
Do you want to change the color of your background area, or your content area? It looks like you've got duplicate posts going:
SusanModeratorI've just viewed your site (using Chrome), and it appears normal - I was able to navigate to various pages, and did not receive any error messages.
Can you please check your website from a different computer, or a different browser, and see if you are experiencing the same issues?
I recommend clearing your cache.
SusanModeratorSusanModeratorOfficial support is done via a ticketing system. Official support relates to setting up your site to look like the demo, and for technical issues related to setting up your site.
Anything beyond that is "customization", and is handled here at the forum by community members. There are no theme specific forums, because beyond set-up, most questions we receive can relate to multiple themes. We recommend that if you come here to ask a question, you provide us with the URL of your site, and the theme which you are using. You can also use the search feature up the top of the screen to search for specific issues, and we recommend adding tags to your posts to also help future users search.
SusanModeratorI believe the easiest way to add a full width slider is by creating a widget area if a site doesn't already have one built in. This tutorial explains how to add a full width slider to the Minimum theme (which by default has a large image on the home page): You could do this with your sample theme:
SusanModeratorSusanModeratorGreat! Closing this thread as resolved. 🙂
