Yep same here for the agency pro theme, it’s registering the after entry widget twice.
Anyone got a solution, there was a recent upgrade to Genesis so reversion to the previous version might work although I have not tried thatMay 21, 2014 at 9:24 am in reply to: How to place social icons/inks in Primary Navigation Extras #106162
Care to share how you did this as I’m also finding that the icons are not showing in the nav bar
Okay so I’ve saved the permalink structure in settings > permalinks to ‘postname’ because ‘custom structure’ will not save. This has made the tag for http://www.sharesandstockmarkets.com/tag/stock-market-news/ work but links to the archive still have a line through it as though the link does not work.
Just to let you know that this issue has been sorted.
I basically followed this guys’ post: http://www.wpstuffs.com/add-newsletter-widget-below-content-genesis-child-themes/
I deleted what was in the functions.php and replaced it with his code and added his code to the style.css
I’m using premise to make my website a membership site which includes a private members forum. The issue is that nested replies to forum posts are misaligned when I’m logged in. If you checkout this screenshot you can see that replies are nested to the left and text it cut off on the right side:
Also, when I’m logged in on a dummy account, the forum page look like a lot of links, no page stylization at all
Tried one of the WP default themes and the forum posts display correctly
If I may.
I’ve been trying to configure a forum using bbpress, premise, and the executive child theme for the past three weeks and I’m done.
It just does not work and I’ve not been able to get it to work.
I’m currently looking at alternative like a private linkedin group, not ideal but trying to get genesis and bbpress to work together with premise has been evil
Forgot to mention that I’d unchecking and checking this box for threaded replies to see if it made a difference which it does not
I’m adding additional comentary here because I am still having problems with this issue but I’ve found out what has been happening.
Essentially, the cache plugins I have been using (quick cache lite) was interfereing with the blog’s RSS feed which in turn meant that it would prevent the blog post from showing up on the blog posts page. As soon as I DELETED it and updated the most recent post, not only did the post show up on the blog posts page, my social media accounts were updated with the goo.gl/fb yrl shortner. There had been a delay of 9 hours because of this.
When I published a post last Friday, the feed did not update for 24 hours which is why I’ve spent time getting to the bottom of this.
I’ve now reinstalled WP Super Cache and am due to publish another post this week so I’ll see how long the feed takes to update and report back here.
no worries I’ve managed to locate where in the stylesheet it needed tweaking
Basically need the nav bar to lineup like this: http://sharesandstockmarkets.com/
If removing line 2265 will do the trick could you advise how I could do that?
Nevermind, I’ve managed to get authorship working by adding it in the settings > sharing and connecting my G+ profile.
The pain is finally over.
did that and still nothing, its been weeks now not sure what else to do
OK this thread can be closed I’ve found the solution: in Genesis > theme settings I’ve unticked the ‘by default remove titles in the page post type’. Silly.
To be honest I’ve got bits of code from this forum from all sorts of issues that I’ve had with Genesis.
