You can't control what comes from YouTube. If you don't want features from YouTube, then self-host the video with Amazon S3 and Cloudfront.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorCindy, this forum, like the Genesis Facebook page, is not an official Studio Press support site. It is true that at one time Studio Press employees answered questions here. That's not the case any more. The moderators here, (like me), and anyone participating in answering questions, are community volunteers with no affiliation or obligation to be helpful. We help because we want to, not because we have to.
Keep in mind, Studio Press is not the same company. It is owned by WPEngine now. If you want official support from Studio Press, the only way to get it is by opening up a ticket with them.
As end users just like you, we have absolutely no insight into their future plans except what is published or what may be discussed in the Genesis Slack Group.

Victor

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou'll have to move the entire sidebar down. Create a class in style.css for:
.sidebar { margin-top: 143px; }
You'll also have to adjust the sidebar in the media query to remove the top margin when on mobile, otherwise you'll have a big gap when the sidebar moves below the content.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe header-right widget area is a Genesis Framework and is available to all child themes including Eleven 40 Pro.
Edit the child theme's functions.php file and remove the following lines of code:
//* Unregister the header right widget area unregister_sidebar( 'header-right' );
The header-right widget area will be available right away. As an FYI, since the theme author decided to deactivate this feature, the chances are that the related CSS may no longer be in the style sheet. You may have to copy the CSS from another theme.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?April 8, 2019 at 10:36 am in reply to: How do I Change the thickness of font on entire site? Beautiful Pro #490557Victor FontModeratorIt depends on whether the element you want to change uses the default font settings or not, and whether or not a heavier version of the font is available and loaded on the site.
In Beautiful Pro, the menu font is controlled by the body font, line 139 in style.css.
It uses the Lato Google font that is loaded in functions.php. The theme loads font weights 300, 400, and 700.
The body CSS is set to font-weight: 300, which is the lightest of those available to you.
If you change the weight to 400 or 700, it will make the font heavier, but it will also change every font everywhere on your site that depends on the body defaults.
If you want to change the font weight for the menu only without impacting the rest of the site, add the font-weight directive to the .genesis-nav-menu .menu-item class at line 1009 in style.css.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorSo my code doesn't work on your site because it's designed to work with pages. The books are not pages, they are posts. You need a different approach.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorWhen you upload an image to the WordPress media library, it is automatically resized, compressed, and any animations are removed. If you want to maintain the animation, you have to resize the image your self outside of WordPress and upload the resized image.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?April 6, 2019 at 6:05 am in reply to: How do I create a Child Theme of a Studio Press Theme? #490527Victor FontModeratorStudio Press themes are child themes. Genesis is the parent theme. You cannot create a child theme of a child theme. This would be a grandchild theme and WordPress does not support grandchild themes.
Child themes are meant to be the vehicle for your CSS and PHP customizations. For more on child themes and how they work, please see https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorStyle sheets are cached by browsers. Updating a style sheet does not send a trigger to the browser to download the updated style sheet. When updating a style sheet, you have to clear all caches and force the new style sheet to download.
When using the additional CSS area, WordPress injects the styles into the HTML page itself as inline CSS. Inline CSS overrides style sheets and has the priority. Since it is part of the HTML page, you see the changes immediately. If you view the page source code with your browser tools, you'll see the CSS somewhere near the top of the page before the body tag.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorLet's address the second question first. The Genesis Framework is a parent theme. Any theme built on top of the Genesis Framework is a child theme. Essence Pro is a child theme of the Genesis Framework. You cannot create a child theme of Essence Pro. This would make the Essence Pro descendant a grandchild theme. WordPress does not support grandchild themes.
You can customize CSS using one of several methods:
1. You can use the WordPress additional CSS area as you already stated. This allows for changes that extend beyond a single theme to the entire site regardless of the theme in use.
2. You can directly modify the child theme's style.css and style-front.css files.
3. You can create your own CSS file(s) and enqueue them in functions.php.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou should not remove this:
<h2 class="genesis-sidebar-title screen-reader-text">Footer</h2>
This is required for handicapped accessibility and meeting the needs of the visually impaired that may visit your site. It works with screen readers and and allows the devices to speak the content to the user.
If you want to remove it, you have to disable the accessibility features of the site. But if you do, you may be opening yourself up to non-compliance issues with countries that require publicly accessible sites to provide these features.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorEach of the footer widgets on your site has a title in the widget. The title is the h3. If you don't want to have the h3, leave the title blank and move the text into the text widget with the rest of the content.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorIt is a Genesis based theme, but because the site owner is using the autoptimize plugin, it's not possible to say which theme it is. That plugin strips comments from CSS files and consolidates them into compressed versions.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou can put anything you want in a Genesis menu, either in the left or right. You would have to modify this code snippet to work for you:
Using you code as an example, inserting this into functions.php should get you close to what you want:
add_filter( 'wp_nav_menu_items', 'my_menu_img', 10, 2 ); function my_menu_img( $menu, $args ) { //* Change 'primary' to 'secondary' to add extras to the secondary navigation menu if ( 'primary' !== $args->theme_location ) return $menu; $menu =. '<div id="logo">/* image */</div>; return $menu; }

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorIt depends on the child theme and what the how the developer chose to code it. There is no "fixed" way of doing it, but it's all handled through the CSS style sheet in its media queries.
If a theme is designed as mobile first, the the mobile aspects are built first and changed as the screen gets larger.
If a theme is built as desktop first, then the wide width is done first and mobile aspects added as the screen is reduced.
Reducing the browser width is not the correct way to test mobile responsiveness. All modern browsers have a built-in mobile testing tool these days. It's important to learn how to use these. Using the built-in inspector also allows you to see the CSS active when your theme's media queries take control.
