Joyce,
Since you're using the widgets I don't know of a way to do that. You might have to roll your own code for that one.
I can think of two approaches off hand.
Start with the Genesis Featured Posts widget code and create your own version of it that doesn't link and use that widget.
Code that area into the homepage and replicate the output so you dob't have to make any (major) css modifications. Just create a custom loop.
Not as easy as I would like but I don't think there is a filter that can be applied to widget output. If there is, I hope someone will jump in and let us both know!

vsellisMemberAnyplace you see the 'a' referenced is a hyperlink. Are you just looking at the body hyperlinks or somewhere else (e.g. footer, header...)
The first block of code you pasted in has they base hyperlink color referenced:
.going-green-pro-mint .author-box-title,
.going-green-pro-mint .entry-meta a:hover,
.going-green-pro-mint .nav-primary .genesis-nav-menu .current-menu-item > a,
.going-green-pro-mint .nav-primary .genesis-nav-menu a:hover,
.going-green-pro-mint .sidebar a:hover,
.going-green-pro-mint a {
color: #329d7e; <-- Change this one but it will change other things too...
}if you ONLY want to change the hyperlink color add this line to your css below the block above to override just the link color.
.going-green-pro-mint a {
color: #329d7e; <-- Change this one but it will change other things too...
}vsellisMemberStuart
Should be just an "a" entry in the css...
since you're using the green color scheme look at line 1602 in your css for
.going-green-pro-mint a {
color: #329d7e; /* <-- change that to another value, maybe a darker green */

Try
.sidebar .menu-item:hover {
background: #cccccc; /*with whatever background you want */
}that worked for me in the Chrome developer tools.
#2: Do you mean the sidebar height?
vsellisMemberBill Erickson has a plugin that will allow you to toggle the titles on a page by page basis. Very handy and gives you maximum flexibility. Plus you won't loose those changes if you change your theme in the future.
