I am trying to find out if there is an alternative slider for Agentpress in which I can load pictures to that are not necessaraly listings. I do not want to create new pages or posts everytime I want to load a picture either...any ideas???
Thank youuuuuuDecember 13, 2012 at 4:27 pm #5063

I've been using WooSlider from WooThemes in all my StudioPress/Genesis sites (that use a slider, anyway). I tried the Genesis sliders but I'd rather not have to create a post to make a slide.
WooSlider gives you lots of different options for placing it in your site, from template tags to shortcodes to widgets, and it's responsive.
It's not free, but it is good.

I will definitely try it. Thank you!...Just to make sure... Can I load a gallery of pictures on ti without having to create a post or page?December 14, 2012 at 2:04 pm #5252
I wouldn't technically call it a gallery of pictures, but here's more info:
Each slide is a "custom post type" and they are all managed in a section called Slideshows.
Slides can be added to "Slide Groups" and then you can specify a different Slide Group for each instance of WooSlider on your site.
A slide's content can be just an image, an image linked to something else, an image and text, just text, and maybe other possibilities I haven't thought of yet.

Well...the widget...do I need to edit something else???December 14, 2012 at 3:12 pm #5274
Its suposed to go after the navigation bar...thats where the genesis slider used to be...December 14, 2012 at 3:14 pm #5275December 14, 2012 at 3:17 pm #5276
Yes...I did save it. But I dont think the problem is the widget. I think the problem is WooSlider. When I create a new slider, add images and click on the SLIDESHOW to set everything up....the code goes into the page...when I publish the page....nothing! No pictures on the page at all...Am I doing something wrong?December 14, 2012 at 3:20 pm #5278December 14, 2012 at 3:25 pm #5279
Ok...what do you need?
