Tagged: dynamik
I built my new site with Dynamik, after a brief flirtation with the X theme.
What do you like/dislike and what would YOU have done differently?
This site is a blog aimed at people who are new to Internet marketing. The objective is to explain things clearly and simply, and present useful, actionable information
My main goals in building the site were:
a) Clear and easy to read
b) Must work well on mobile (still a bit to do here!)
c) Good SEO (I use the Yoast plugin)
I've still got a bit of work to do in all of these areas but it's getting there.
I have to say that Eric and his crew at Cobalt Apps (who make Dynamik) have been great. Extremely helpful and it's a great product. ( X Theme is a great product too but I just couldn't make it do what I wanted).
I'd very much like to hear your thoughts - fellow Genesis developers.
Thank you.
http://timfelmingham.comLooks pretty good. The only thing I would change would be to tone the colors in the sidebar down a little bit. The focus should be on your main content, but the sidebar competes with the content too much.
I'm a huge fan of Dynamik myself and have made about 50 sides with it.
Ah, always my bugbear — the graphic design!
Thanks for your feedback. Must admit I thought I had toned the colours down in the sidebar with the muted pastels but I'll take another look at it.
Cheers.
LOL.
Personally I would not put side bars on the landing page at all, because you want people to get your message, not get distracted.
You can look at my site, I have no side bar on the landing page, but I have it on the most of the other pages. However it is very sedate.
Nice site!
