hello
I upgraded my dev to latest Genesis theme, but since then, I noticed that icon for social network disappeared.
here is my actual prod : befrassy.net
as you see, on top secundary menu, I have social icons. Since I upgraded to latest theme, icon does not show anymore.
Version: 2.1.3 · Released: August 11, 2015 :
<li id="menu-item-16356" class="menu-item menu-item-type-custom menu-item-object-custom menu-item-16356"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/XXXXX"><i class="fa-facebook fa"></i><span class="fontawesome-text"> fb</span></a></li>
after upgrade on Version 2.2.4
<li id="menu-item-16356" class="fa fa-facebook menu-item menu-item-type-custom menu-item-object-custom menu-item-16356"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/XXXXX" itemprop="url"><span itemprop="name">fb</span></a></li>
how can I make it work again ? thx for your help !

Genesis 2.2.5 is out, see if that corrects the issue.

December 21, 2015 at 7:31 am #174455SusanModeratorI'm seeing the social media icons in your navigation:
December 28, 2015 at 4:15 am #174930tonnickMemberyes, this is the production version with old genesis framework. I put it to show you the actual resutl.
but the socials icons are not working anymore on my dev version since I upgraded the genesis Framework. I put all the code previously.
So I cannot upgrade my production version if developpment one is not working properly 🙁 my dev version is protected by login/passwd, so I can give it to you by MP if you want to check it.

The link anchor text is also different: " fb" vs "fb" -- are the code samples from the exact same installation?
Tough to tell beyond this due to minification and not being able to see the second/dev site. Can you temporarily turn off minification/cacheing and open up the dev site for review? Also, what child theme is in use?

prod >> http://www.befrassy.net/
dev >> http://dev.befrassy.net/is seems that there is a plugin named Font Awesome 4 Menus.

January 6, 2016 at 9:07 pm #175815TomParticipantThis is a bug with the plugin you are using for your font-awesome menu icons:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/no-longer-working-after-genesis-220-upgrade"The bug is not necessarily unique to Genesis, as any theme or plugin can introduce extra markup in a menu link." -- Nick Cernis
You can revert to using Simple Social Icons as in the theme default from Restored316, try another icon/menu plugin, or pursue the plugin author for a correction.

I'll try the menu icon plugin as the simple social icon is a widget, it will be more difficult to align with the menu.
