Hello,
I am working on my site: http://www.englishforbusinesscommunication.com which uses the Metric theme.
I am having one difficulty with setting up social media buttons to both look and work the way that I want them too. The only plugins that I found were broken or have other issues.
I wonder if anyone has advice for a good social media share plug-in or any other method that could give me a nice diagonal floating buttons on the left hand side of the front page of the site. Inside of the site there are other possibilities for adding buttons to pages and posts - but I am not sure how to put something on the front page.
I appreciate any advice.
Thanks,

If you want buttons that will SHARE your content, then you will want a different plugin. My two favorites are the Sharing module in Jetpack - http://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/, which works well.
Or there is a new one (just out) called Floating Social Bar - http://wordpress.org/plugins/floating-social-bar/ (Read about it here http://www.wpbeginner.com/floating-social-bar/)

Rob - is it possible to put the Simple Social Icons onto the front page? I was under the impression it´s purely for widgets.
Marcy - I have the floating social bar inside of my pages, but he issue remains for me ... how do I get it all of the front page?
Thanks all!

Be sure to deactivate the one you are currently using before trying the new one; they could interfere with each other. The simple social icons plugin does need to be added to a widget, but your home page is all widgets, so you can add them to any of those locations.
